I am so pleased with the performance of this iron. It has a heavier weight than my previous iron. This makes ironing go quickly. The temperature setting I need is cotton. I am a quilter and my previous iron wasn’t able to give the heat I needed for a the crisp edge and smoothness of fabric. This iron does exactly what I needed. This iron overall seems very good, though the pictures at the top of the page show the 1800 watt version with the LCD screen with the description for the 1700 watt version…so I thought the only difference between was the wattage and price. That was my fault for not scrolling further down the item page to see the actual pictures of the product. Amazon, maybe fix this issue? On to the iron itself, It does heat up quickly and seems to work great on the cotton temp and steam settings, but the wool temp setting with the appropriate steam setting doesn’t seem as hot as my previous Hamilton Beach iron. I also wish the steam setting slider was fully adjustable…this only allows for 3 settings based on which temperature you’ve selected. This again doesn’t lead to as much steam coming out on the wool temp setting. My previous iron allowed me to dial in an ideal amount of steam output. I can certainly play with the settings and see what works best, but just these couple of nitpicks. Otherwise I’m pretty happy so far with it. ... show more

I think it's the best iron I ever bought. You would think you would buy 1 iron in a lifetime. After my old iron conked out I found this at Amazon. The iron heats up very quickly. The steam is strong and the iron glides across the clothes.

I've had this one a year, it's awesome durable, performs great, just good overall. Only thing I'd say is after about 9 months, the Water fills in some other part of the iron because I can't see it in the water well... It still sprayes the water but idk where it's being stored. This isn't all the time only about half the time I refill it ... show more

This iron works great and is lite weight making it easy to use with my arthritis. I purchased it after reading the reviews. When I received the Iron yes it had water spots in the water chamber, it also has a sticker inside telling buyers to expect the water spots because every iron is tested. Also, I found that after reading the booklet provided, if everyone read the booklet that is included they would know what to expect, how to use, and trouble shoot the product.
