This seems to be a quality product, it is comfortable in the hand and easy to store. I love that it telescopes in and out as to take up minimal space when not using. We close pours up and keep it in a drawer where its easy to get to and we always know where it is. The other thing I like is that I can just collapse it after I put the awning in/out and stick it in my back pocket while I move on to other tasks. No worries about stopping what I am doing to immediately stow it away or sitting it down somewhere and the forgetting either that I did set it down and driving away without it or where I set it down and having to look for it. ... show more

This thing is so cool, small, compact, lightweight and useful. But on the 2nd time we were using it the top joint that holds the hook on let go. Needless to say that was frustrating. Storage of this is awesome. It shrinks down to about the length of a butter knife. If you have a nice new RV, this would probably be just fine. If your awning latch is like mine where it needs some persuasion, this isn't going to work. The angled piece at the end is press-fitted, so it can pull out with only a small amount of resistance. Also, once extended there is no locking mechanism, so you won't be pushing that release lever way up there if your awning rolls up to where the release lever isn't in the perfect "pulling" position. ... show more
