Description

End the hassle of twisted, tangled power cords forever with the Panasonic NI- WL600 Cordless, Portable 1500W Contoured Multi-Directional Steam/Dry Iron. Unlike corded irons, this sleek, ergonomic 360° Freestyle iron uses a double- tipped soleplate to glide effortlessly in every direction for precision and speed; perfect for everyday ironing and for quilting, crafting and sewing projects. Its curved, non-stick stainless steel soleplate glides seamlessly over fabric without tugging or wrinkling and maneuvers nimbly around buttons, along collars and over sleeves, cuffs and pleats. To use, simply set the iron into the charging base and select the temperature for the fabric you're ironing. In minutes, a temperature ready light illuminates and you're ready to go. If you're interrupted while ironing and forget to unplug the base, no worries. The base automatically turns itself off after 10 minutes. When done the touch of a button on the base smoothly retracts the cord into the base to eliminate messy power cord storage. A heat-resistant carrying case snaps onto the iron and base for instant portability and storage. Adjustable steam and dry settings create the ideal concentration of steam, or no steam at all for everyday fabrics, delicates and easy touch-ups for when no steam is needed. For hanging garments, curtains and drapes, the push of a button applies a powerful burst of vertical steam to relax and remove unsightly wrinkles or creases. And with the Panasonic NI-WL600 cordless iron you can fill the iron's water tank at the sink without having to bring the whole iron with you. A durable, lightweight water tank easily detaches with the touch of a button for no-spill refills. The iron's built-in anti-drip system provides a long-life water seal inside the iron body to prevent water leakage and protect clothing from water spotting. An anti-calcium system automatically prevents steam vents from clogging by reducing sediment build-up in the vaporizing chamber of the iron. Water Tank : Detachable, Iron - Temperature Range : 176°F - 392°F.

  • Simply the best iron ever.
Color: Silver/Black
Every time I use this iron, I think to myself.... I should really do a review. Well, 2 years later, here it is. I'm not some quilter or sewer or anything. I'm just a dude that irons his work shirts. I used to use very expensive Rowenta irons. They would last for about 4 years and eventually either just stop working or the cord would prevent it from turning on. (Auto off function is apparently a wear item?) So, after many years of using that heavy iron, I decided to look for a cordless iron. (Mainly, to prevent any cord issues.) I, of course, looked at Rowenta and some other brands that were heavy and had a battery. (Surely the battery would fail at some point.) When I saw this iron, I thought it was pretty brilliantly designed. First of all, shortly after purchasing it, my cat knocked over my ironing board and this iron took a very nasty spill onto my tile floor. 2 years later, still no issues. It's brilliant. It's light weight. (At least compared to my previous Rowenta irons.) It's pretty cool that it has 2 pointy ends. (The football shape of the heating plate is very manly.) I always use reverse osmosis water in it and have had no issues with mineral buildup. (My Rowenta irons would have to be cleaned about once a month and lots of rusty looking deposits would come out.) I usually give it a steam blast onto my iron board just in case, but no rusty water has ever come out of it. Also, I haven't had to clean the plate yet like my Rowenta would regularly require. The iron heats up every time you return it to its base when readjusting your clothes. I've never had to wait because it wasn't ready. The auto steam works great, so I hardly ever have to give it an extra blast. The design is also awesome because the water container detaches, and you can fill it up while the iron is heating up. It's also super easy to detach and also easy to fill with water. The other thing is that I don't leave my iron board out, so I have to move this iron every time. The carrying case is awesome. Just grab the handle, move the iron and detach the top of the case. Then when you are done, you just grab the case by the handle and push it back on and it latches automatically with no struggle. Even the carrying case is masterfully designed. And of course, the retractable cord for the base just pulls out and when you are done you give it a short yank and it retracts back in automatically with no issues every time. It looks pretty nice too. Why did I spend so much on Rowenta irons that were no better for my use, heavy, and would fail? After 2 years, I still love this iron. My conclusion is that this is the best iron in the world and that all other irons probably suck in comparison. That's my opinion but I'm not wrong. ... show more

  • Very convenient
Color: Silver/Black
I’ve wanted this cordless iron for a long time and when my favorite iron sputtered and died I finally bought it. So far I am very impressed with it. Full disclosure - I rarely iron clothes. I am a quilter and use it almost exclusively for that. It gets hot and stays hot longer than I expected, doesn’t take long to reheat, good burst of steam, convenient to refill, pointed ends for precision and best of all, it doesn’t wrinkle a place you just ironed because of the cord. Today I plan to use it to take down the hem on drapes while they are hanging. I love having a cordless iron. I’ll update if I have any problem in coming months. ... show more

  • Small Ironing Jobs
Color: Silver/Black
I purchased this for some small ironing jobs that are difficult to accomplish with my regular corded iron. I like how the water tank is removable to fill and empty. I love the retractable cord. The iron is lightweight and easy to handle. The case is an added bonus. I use this with a wool ironing pad to iron the flange on my sheets, makes smoothing it out on the bed easy and quick. I also use to iron napkins. Steam function works great. For the purpose I intend to use, I am pleased. I hope it lasts without malfunction. ... show more

  • worth the hype!!!!
Color: Silver/Black
uggggggg, I wish I had found this iron years ago. I iron hundreds of shirts a year, this iron is 10X better than the standard corded iron. Lighter than my old (top of the line) Rowenta. The water tank comes off for filling. the base has wheels on it so the iron slides down and nests on the power supply each time you put it down. The size is smaller which is better, we don't need bigger irons, just smaller faster, more nimble shapes. Sometimes new tech is a huge improvement, sometimes it's just lip service. This iron is worth every penny. Don't hesitate to get it. ... show more
