I picked up the Conair Turbo Extreme Steam handheld fabric steamer as an alternative to ironing, and it’s been a really useful tool so far. It heats up quickly in about 40 seconds so you don’t have to wait long to start using it. The steam output is strong thanks to the 1875-watt power, and it does a good job removing wrinkles from shirts, pants, and even thicker fabrics. I’ve used it on hanging clothes and it’s much more convenient than setting up an ironing board. I also like the included attachments. The brush and fabric guide help smooth things out, and the built-in plate can act a bit like an iron for sharper results. The only thing to keep in mind is that it’s slightly heavier than smaller travel steamers, but that’s expected with the extra power. Easy to turn on and heats quickly. Had levels of steam depending on need. Water reservoir has a small hole to fill it. Would be easier if the hole was larger. It is a bit heavy also compared to the one I have been using. I’m still deciding if this one does a better job than my small travel one. After steaming two dresses I almost feel The smaller one does a better job. It seemed to take longer to get the wrinkles out and this was a light fabric that should have been quick and easy. Cord length is nice and had no problems. Going to try a couple more things before I decide for sure if it works better than small travel one. ... show more

Let me tell you, folks, I bought this Conair steamer—the real deal, the Turbo ExtremeSteam, tremendous steamer, absolutely fantastic—and it’s the best garment steamer I’ve ever had. Nobody steams like this thing steams. Believe me. The wrinkles? Gone. Vanished. Like they were never there in the first place. I put it on my shirts, my beautiful suits—the best suits, folks—and boom, in 40 seconds it’s heated up, ready to go, and the steam blasts out so powerful, 1875 watts, the strongest, turbo steam, it smooths everything out like a pro iron but easier, much easier. No more ironing boards, no mess, no hassle. It’s like having a dry cleaner in your hand—high-end, top-tier results right at home. And portable? Lightweight? Tremendous. I take it everywhere—travel, quick touch-ups, even the curtains, upholstery, you name it. Heats up faster than anybody else, no spitting water like those loser cheap ones, continuous steam for 15-20 minutes, big tank, attachments that are genius—silicone band, bristle brush, delicate spacer. The box was already opened before it even reached my door, making it look like a previously returned or used unit. For an "Amazon Exclusive," I expected better quality control and secure shipping. The Performance: Despite the 1875W rating, the steam output is underwhelming. The "Turbo" mode struggles with deep creases on standard cotton and linen, requiring multiple slow passes that still don't leave the fabric crisp. The Cons: • Too Heavy: Weighing nearly 4 lbs when full, it is very fatiguing to hold for more than one garment. • Water Sputtering: It frequently spits hot water droplets rather than a steady mist, leaving damp spots and potential water stains on delicate fabrics. • Frequent Refills: The small reservoir only lasts about 15 minutes, so you’re constantly stopping to refill if you have more than two items to steam. LOVE this hand held steamer! I have used it many times already. It heats up very quickly and I have never had any water leakage. It’s super easy to use and gets out wrinkles quickly.
