I absolutely recommend this Steam Press. For a household, it’s an invaluable tool. For 13 years, I enjoyed a Steampress 660, which I probably ruined the steam function because I failed to use distilled water – CA is notorious for very hard water ( calcium, minerals, deposits, etc). Not this time! I am strictly using it per manufacturing recommendation. Already I have saved hours in ironing time. Pillow cases, my custom-designed bathroom towel sets with pretty edging, slacks with perfect creases, t-shirts and blouses, etc. Because I paid so much for the first one, I was cringing about buying a replacement…. After all, I could still use the old one to press things, just without the steam. Thankfully, Amazon had this one to offer. It came with a new spray bottle, easy water-refill container AND TWO new extra iron board covers!!! I turned on the unit out of the box, added the DISTILLED WATER, gave it plenty of time 2-4 minutes to heat up to my preferred temp, and it works like a CHAMP! It sits with a dust cover between uses right next to the laundry machine area, so that, right out the dryer (I bring items out a tad moist to save energy) I can then iron right away and into the linen closets, garment drawer and onto closet hangers they go! Poof. Done. Love it!! Thank you Amazon. PS Another tip: If you plan to use spray starch like I do, grab some flour-bag kitchen towels from WalMart (20 for $14} – they’re kinda like gauze cloths/cheese clothes – also useful to cover bowl and let bread dough rise. I spray starch my ironing projects, plus a little water spray, lay the clean flour cloth over the garment and begin to press. This also minimizes starch built-up on the iron’s heating surface. PPS Learn to manipulate your garment, while keeping your hands, fingers, arms away from the heating element surface to avoid burns. You may want to use oven mitts or cotton gloves till you get the hang of this technique. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So excited. Just arrived and I am eager to use. My main purpose for this purchase was to find a heavy duty, but small enough to fit in my laundry room, big enough to do the job. I’m just learning how to use it but so far it’s easy set up and to use. It’s a little loud but it in my house and only I will be effected by the sound. So far so awesome. Will update in a month. It has now been a few months and I still love this steamer. The only thing that is frustrating is the steam doesn’t last long. It shuts off the burst of steam every few seconds. It’s a little frustrating when your in the middle of pressing a shirt. Yes in the middle of your press it shuts the steam off and rest. This happens through out the pressing. Also a little hard to press dress shirts around the The collar, or any corners of a shirt. Where the armpit and the body of the shirt meets it’s hard to get a pressed nice clean crisp without wrinkles. I’m learning still so maybe I’ll overcome this. More to come. ... show more

dry cleaning is getting expensive, i wash my own shirts, this press saves me time and money , i can repress a wrinkled shirt, or slacks, or other items like my wife dresses. i recommend this press.

    • Faster and more fun than ironing
The appliance is very easy to use and does a great job once you get "the hang of it". We just use the water spray bottle and don't use the internal "steam" function. Takes up very little room for storage as it stands on edge. Actually fun to use for wife.

    • Drips out water along with steam
The product is ok except virtually every time I use this product, along with steam, water comes dripping out of the holes, So I’m left with big water spots on the garments and I have to keep pressing w no steam just to dry the garment. I am not happy with this product for that reason. I wish I bought a better brand. ... show more

I have an Etsy business & have to iron a lot of fabric. 2 yards used to take about 20 minutes. Fabric from Spoonflower is thicker & wrinkles a lot. It takes me 5-7 minutes with this press. Also I used to iron fabric & re-iron when I cut out my pieces. Sometimes I can even skip the initial ironing & just use the press as I cut my pieces. I love this machine!! ... show more

    • Meh...Not the miracle I was hoping for
I have never used a steam press before so this was my first use and purchase. I bought it mainly for sewing quilts, garments and bag making as i like to wash all my fabric before use. By puffing the steam on high several times before use with a press cloth or towel, you can reduce the risk of the white powder like substance onto your fabric. I recommend this with any iron before using it on you good clothes/fabrics. The iron does indeed leave little 'buttons' on your fabric where the holes in the upper press hit the fabric. I am mainly pressing quilting cottons and linens so I have not tried all settings. It does produce a good amount of heat and steam. If I press the material just out of the washer I seem to get better results than pressing dry with just a spray of water. I do rate it high for portability, and feels sturdy but the one thing i haven't figured out yet is how to drain the water container 'easily'. I would have liked it more if it slid entirely out. ... show more
