Well I will say for the price, it's a pretty good deal. They brighten up my room just enough and give it a very cool vibe at night, and I love the ability to customize it with the app and set it to come on and turn off at specific times of the day. The "bulbs" look more like little bulbs of hot glue so I was skeptical at first but they work as well as any christmas lights, possibly better. Now unfortunately it's not all good news because the app itself was very hard to connect to, it's not entirely intuitive at first, and the worst part is that it seems a bit buggy? Like I click on my custom setting in the 2nd slot and it's all wrong, it was actually the previous setting before I deleted it. And now my lights seem to come on once a day at a completely random time in the day that I did not set up. I don't know if this is something I did and if I can do a hard reset of my lights programming but this really shouldn't be something that happens a week end. I do not regret this purchase and i'm gonna keep using these lights because despite the bugs, it is really good and easy to fix, but I will knock a star off my review. Also, my room is very small and it still didn't manage to cover the whole perimiter. So if you have a small room, go for double the length. ... show more

The wide array of features this listing offers for the price is attractive, but they all tend to feel lacking in practice. The app to control it is an unforgivable half a gigabyte to download, the presets don't really have anything in the way of color customization and the music function works off of some pretty shoddy volume detection. the DIY option is pretty fun, but it's limited to either a scrolling pattern, or fading between a sequence of colors, that bafflingly also fades to black between each one, with no option to turn this behavior off. Trying to utilize the timer function will bring you frustration, as the device's internal clock doesn't sync to anything, and is prone to be astronomically off. Mine is slow by nearly a minute each day or so, meaning I have to open the app regularly to manually re-sync the timer. The lights are fine. They can have a little barely noticeable flicker, some of the colors feel just a little off, and if you watch them while they're fading, it's easy to notice it going in little "steps" between the colors. But they're decently bright and have a good enough range of colors. Still, if this is good enough for you, go ahead and buy it. ... show more

I put these lights up around my living room, and will be sure to have them on any time I have guests over. With all other lights off, they're bright enough to light up the entire living room by themselves, and are great for creating a party atmosphere. There's so many different settings for the lights, but my personal favorite is syncing them up with music. I also appreciate how there's multiple ways to control the lights, either with the remote or with an easy to use app. All in all, a very impressive value for how drastically it can improve the ambience of a room! ... show more

Arrived on time. Easy to put up lights. App installed fine & was easy to use. They look beautiful & we’re brighter then I thought they would be & makes the front of our log cabin look great. Can’t wait to use the dyi designs for the rest of the holidays through out the year. Seen a review about it being a single wire & not very flexible. We had no problems making straight lines then bending the wire around straight corners.
