  • Great Screen Roller

  • Makes the job so easy
Size: 3-3/2 in. x 3/32 n.
I wish I would have known about this tool a long time ago because it makes replacing a screen mesh so easy and it comes out looking like the original factory mesh. I did 5 windows today with this tool and after getting a feel for the tool on the first window the other 4 took me less than 5 minutes each. The build quality on this tool is excellent. The wheels moved smoothly and the handle is comfortable to hold. I also line the fact nothing is plastic on this tool which means it will last a very long time. Even if you are just doing one screen mesh replacement this tool is well worth the spend. ... show more

This product had heavy usage and lasted 4 years. This is a must buy product, will compliment any other screen tool your using perfectly. ... show more

  • Prime-Line P 7505 Screen Rolling Tool worked great for me!
Size: 3-3/2 in. x 3/32 n.
Prime-Line P 7505 Screen Rolling Tool - I am non professional, never tried it before, so I read many of the reviews, so I’m surprised at the negative reviews and comments here. This tool fit perfectly into the narrow groove to reset my screen that the dog pushed out when she wanted into the house. I usually leave the screen pushed to the other panel of my double sliding door, but forgot it this time and was surprised the dog was running around the house until I realized that I forgot the screen... The dog had pushed thru and let herself in. A tool with a wider wheel would NOT have fit the narrow groove to roll back in my heavy pet screen in just a few minutes! The four dollar tool for me is a 5 Star Rating! What more can I say? Only this: The little job would be even easier if I had a small flat tool with several pins sticking out to engage the screen and help pull or push the screen into the groove holding the screen till I roll the little rubber string back into the groove. Fortunately the screen was already reshaped to fit, having been there for awhile, so it went well after I got it started going into the groove! Quick job! ... show more

  • Perfect for screen mesh replacement
Size: 3-3/2 in. x 3/32 n.
This tool is grippy and strong and easy to work with. I’d recommend having some gloves while you’re doing this because you can sometimes slip and hurt your fingers a little bit in the process. I also only use the single edge side in my opinion. I’ve noticed that when you use the double side, sometimes it will actually tear a little hole on the inside corner where you are laying the screen mesh, and then you have to redo the replacement. When I am installing mesh, I liked to always push the rubber spline in from the outer edge of the rubber, so that I don’t have the possibility of damaging the inside part of the mesh. Also, I found if you’re trying to get it in it is helpful to have a flathead screwdriver to push in the corners and then also I would pull the screen nice and tight while at the same time you’re going to pull the rubber spline nice and tight so that it can make it easy for you to roll it into the frame and then loosen up so that the rubber can expand once it’s sitting in the frame. ... show more

  • A Totally Necessary Tool for a Pain-in-the-butt Project.
Size: 3-3/2 in. x 3/32 n.
In case, like me, you've never replaced a window screen before and you're thinking, "Hey, this will be easy, I can just press the spline into the track using a flat, rounded surface like the handle of a butter spoon!" in the immortal words of Judas Priest, "You got another think comin'." Trust me, it will NOT work; don't even waste your time. All you will accomplish no matter how carefully you do it, is to tear the screen along the track and the spline will NOT go in. This is why you absolutely NEED this special tool! By the time I had figured this out, the screen was ruined (because I had cut it to the proper size per instructions) and I ordered some more from Overstock Enterprises which, although the tracking said "delivered," it was never delivered at our house or at the neighbors', so we have no idea what happened, but Overstock did kindly refund the purchase. After this nifty tool arrived (quickly and at an unbeatable price!), I went back and re-stretched and adjusted the piece of screen in the hopes of making it work. I already had new corners from Hardware Solutions. This turned out to be an extremely hard project and a huge waste of time despite the fact that I am usually very handy with tools and fixing stuff and actually designed and helped build my own house. Even with this special nifty tool, it was VERY difficult to make the spleen go into the track without tearing the screen. After about an hour of struggling I had two of the sides fixed when the spline bunched up and the screen tore horribly halfway through the third side. At this point I gave up. My advice? Just buy a whole new screen if you can, unless you have limitless time to waste, the patience of a saint, and plenty of extra screen so you can start over when it tears. ... show more
