I wanted to have a clock on the wall in the bedroom that I could read at night. It is pretty and works well with the room ( I got the sage green). The sensor works so the lights come on when it gets dark. I do not find it too bright, but some might. It is very heavy and thick due to the 4 size c batteries required for the light function. I thought it rather spendy. It is silent, seems to keep time well, and so far the batteries are lasting longer than advertised. I do wish it were not so heavy and sat closer to the wall...it seems like it would be possible to have those functions with less battery power needed. ... show more

Oh my goodness, I could not be happier with this clock. I was looking for a kitchen clock and came across this clock that lights up automatically as it gets dark. I was skeptical m, but it turned on just as dusk approached! Numbers and hands are big so very readable during the day and with the LEDs very readable at night too!
