New cards cannot be used without calling customer service that only operate between 9-5. When trying to make a call, it a previous card with 4 cents and asks to recharge with a credit card. When pressing for customer service, customer service is not available. There are no instructions to activate a new card. Could not make my call..... It was not always this way. I reloaded it for $20 and they “accidentally” charged me an additional $20 saying they were unable to refund it has to be approved by the supervisor. This was back in late February. Still waiting on my refund after several phone calls. Very unprofessional and not worth the money. I used it for calling a friend in the UK. Will now just skype with him. Much better and dependable.

and I have to pay an extra 2 cents a minute because I have to use the 800 number to make it work. Costing me more than it should. . . but it has worked good so far, otherwise. UPDATE: Have changed my rating from 4 stars down to 1 star, BECAUSE I have been trying to call long distance out of here for several days now, and all I keep getting from the 800 number is dial is : "ALL CIRCUITS ARE BUSY NOW, PLEASE TRY YOUR CALL AGAIN LATER." HOW LONG AND HOW MANY DIFFERENT TIMES DO I HAVE TO CALL BEFORE I CAN GET THROUGH ON MY IMPORTANT, (SOME EMERGENCY), CALLS BEFORE THIS GETS THROUGH??? DO I HAVE TO DIE FIRST? I have called at different times and different days. . . . WHAT GIVES? Very Frustrating. . . JimBoB.

When I first called the customer service number no one was there even though I called at the right time. I then sent an email explaining I was unable to make a call with card, received a pleasant reply telling me to email them back or call the customer service number I called before. I chose to call back on another day. The next week I called (later in the morning) and got through after a second try. I told the customer service rep I was having a problem with card, she told me what I was doing wrong with such a nasty tone. I did not argue, told her thank you and hung up. The card did work, I called the UK, but they could barely hear me. I managed to get what I needed to get done, but I will not use Zuzume. When a company is suppose to be open they should be open, Customer service reps should not be confrontational and the call quality should be better.

I purchased this calling card mainly as a way to keep contact with my aging grandparents in China. With high hopes that I finally found the one solution in this calling card, imagine my disappointment when the call quality is worse than simply not making the phone call. The constant stream of background static coupled with random intervals of muted sound makes this one of the worst phone call experiences in my life. I am posting this review after attempting multiple land / mobile lines to China (Shanghai area). I typically use my iPhone 7 to dial out from the States, but also tried using a landline from my office. The results are the same. Unusable.

We purchase a 20-dollar card, and it only lasted 75 minutes, according to the advertisement it supposed to be 689 minutes talk time which is not true. The call kept cutting off and sounded like someone else was listening to the conversation. Called customer service and they were nasty once we asked the question about the minutes. This card and company are a ripped off, do not buy this card which is just going to take your money. I will never in my life buy this card.
