Because of the Covid-19, we have been changed from in person visits for our job to phone interviews, hence the need for a hands free call center. For the most part it works quite well but sometimes clients tell me my voice is muffled, even after adjusting the mouth piece. Ever so often a client will start sayin hello, hello, I can't hear you, are you there, it's lost. I have to disconnect and recall. It's happened a few times. I can't really complain as I could have purchased a high dollar call center but our means for work was hopefully temporary and we'd br back to in person. Now with the present outlook not so sure, so may have to invest in a better set. Really sucks though as the foot print of this thing is great and is just what I was looking for, just needs a little upgrade in some aspects. Too, I may have gotten a bad one. All in all, give it a try before you spend for a high dollar one, I doubt you'll be disappointed. ... show more

I bought this to replace an old Plantronics wired headset amplifier that attached to a desk phone I was using. I liked the Plantronics headset very much but that model is no longer made and the newer versions of it struck me as too expensive. So when I saw the CALLANY headset gave me both the phone AND headset in one device at a very reasonable price I decided to try it. Not at all disappointed with my purchase. PROS: The headset is comfortable to wear and reception is very clear. People on the other end of the call can hear me clearly so I assume that the mic works as expected. The base is lightweight and easy to carry around. It has all the features I would want in a phone including caller ID, redial, mute, and flash. Caller ID screen lights up brightly when a call is coming in and also the entire time you are on a call. It displays a timer that shows how long you've been on the call as well. Doesn't use batteries (this is also a minus as you'll see below) CONS: No Call Waiting Caller ID so if a call comes in while I'm on the phone, the caller ID screen doesn't show me who it is. There is no battery backup. All electronics in the phone including the lighting in the caller ID screen are powered by the phone line. Unfortunately, with no battery backup, the caller ID loses all of its data anytime the phone line is disconnected or your phone service goes down. You then have to reset the date, time, etc. The mic is flexible and can easily be bent out of the way but it does not have a swivel. Inconvenient when trying to eat or drink and talk on the phone. Overall I'm pleased with this product and only deducted 1 star for the cons. ... show more

I work from home and need to have my hands free and I thought this would be a great thing to have. It is compact and most of the features you need. I only have 2 complaints about it but it could be that it doesn't work well with Ooma. First is that when the mute button is pushed it creates a buzzing noise that is audible by both parties. This was verified on a conference call when I used the mute button someone noticed a buzzing sound. Well I heard it in my ear too and when I took the phone off mute it stopped. If you don't need the mute button then I would go up to 3.5 stars. The other problem I have is the headset is terrible quality. I know I am probably spoiled by the Plantronics headsets I have used forever but it is just not good at all. I am lucky I have the headset from my company to fall back on. I don't know if other phones come have the same issue with the mute button but if you are working in a call center work from home position you use the mute button a lot and it would not work with the buzzing sound. Update 8/17/2017 I have been in contact with Callany customer service and they have graciously sent me another set and the mute buzzing problem is gone. I decided to take a few weeks before posting a review coz i read a few complaining about issues not showing up for some time. So far, i've had no problems myself. A call drops every now and then, which is not necessarily because of the phone but could be a problem with the line. The audio is not the best, but you're able to hear the other person without problems. It's a very simple, easy to use phone. A pretty good purchase considering the price. ... show more
