Easy assembly in under 30 minutes, although I do agree with a review I read stating to join the cables together prior to attaching the upper handle to the lower mount. The screws to attach the chute assembly came loose during shipping and were found on the pallet under the unit. Other than that, pretty straight forward. After adding oil (not included) and gas then priming, unit started on the first pull. The chute control was difficult to turn as it appeared to be binding a bit, so i did applied WD40 to the chute where it seats to the machine with no marked improvement. I then tighten the mounting bolts which did help, but still not as smooth as i would like so I removed the cover for the gear assembly and applied white lithium grease which also helped but still choppy. l worked the assembly for a few minutes and it improved somewhat, so maybe it will be better over time. I ran through all the gears, everything worked well and the power assist made for tight/easy turns. No snow yet, but based on what I have seen so far with the machine and reviews I have read I have high hopes that it will preform well. I still have not used the machine yet, however I did notice a small puddle of oil on the floor under the right side (if you are standing behind it) after it had been sitting for a couple of days. I was able to track down the drip that was coming from what appears to be an extension tube for draining/changing the oil. There is a "C" type washer at the end of the tube which I was able to back out the screw about 4 turns, add some lock tight and tighten it back up and no leaks over the last 2 days. Not a major problem, but a new machine should not be dripping oil. Update-11/12/19- Used the machine for the first time yesterday as we received about 4"-5" of snow overnight and it worked GREAT!! No issues whatsoever, even with the semi-frozen slush/snow pile at the end of the driveway ( I live at the end point of a cul-de-sac) left by the plow, and no oil leak in the morning. Highly recommend this machine!!

I read several reviews that complained about how difficult the unit was to put together. But if you have entry level mechanical skills and I mean bare basic skills, the assembly is fairly simplistic. Total time for me to unpackage and assemble was approximately 2 hours and I took my sweet time. Just let common sense do some of the work and don't overcomplicate the instructions. One note was a review from a person who said the axle bolt was not installed, which was not the case with the unit I received. In comparison to other comparable models, I would give this blower an excellent rating. Price was perfect, it has an electric start (not from a on-board battery, as one individual thought), offers two-stage snow removal, six speeds and remote chute control. Plus it has a handy snow removal tool attached to the backside of the housing for clearing any built up obstructions (frozen or wet snow). For the money, it meets all the needs necessary to tackle that snowy event!

First time to order a snow blower. Positive - I've used this 3 times now and I'm very happy with how it operates. Really like having reverse function. Throws the snow a mile away. Bogs down a little on the slushy stuff but I was able to clear the driveway fine. Negative - there is a filter in the gas tank throat that does not allow me to use the new gas dispensers easily, will look at removing this. The chute can turn 180 deg prior to using but during operation I've noticed that because of the vibration it begins to rotate clockwise so I'm having to adjust while I'm running it. I wish it stayed where I put it. I've also noticed the handles stick sometimes so I don't want to get to close to say the car because it may keep going. Overall - this is a top notch machine for the price

Well i purchased this in the summer because i figured it was a good buy and cant go wrong. Well you get what you pay for for sure and im living with that regret. I used it maybe 2 snow falls worth and was different to use thats for sure but it threw the snow perfectly. Into the 3-5th time of using it the wheels had a hard time engaging. Almost like a clutch was stripped or something forcing to me tighten the cable several times until last week it wouldnt move at all no matter how much the cable was pulled tight or loosened. We in NY have had a rather light winter this year and I have only needed to use it half a dozen times thank goodness but i really needed it last week when we gotten 12" over night and it was stuck. I frustrated took a quick video of it not moving and had to drag out our backup snowblower. I am going to attempt to file a claim with the manufacture with hopes that they send out a repair person (unlikely) or refund me for the scrap metal i received. Will update when i get a response. *update next day* The seller had customer support call me and they said that i need to take it to a service center but they agreed that 50 miles away was a little too far. So they recomended me take it to home depot and not tell them that its a warranty repair. They said to pay for diagnostic fee and pay to have it repaired and i will be reimbursed. Their is something about the sneaky process and unknown of getting reimbursed. I have been there before when a company said they said they wouldn't cover it because it was due to "misuse" and not covered. I am so unhappy with the entire machine and repair process. To make it worse i have to somehow transport this machine to and from. I had known this i would have spend the extra $300 and gotten a troy built from Lowe's.

What I like most about the Power Smart Machine is that it is very little assembly and is easy to start up and runs beautifully fresh out the box create!!.. During testing and operating the power is outstanding!!.. Some of the screws may dislodge on the rotator blade shaf but they are easily replaceable at Menard's, Lows or Home Depo Great buy and investment!! 😀👍🏾

This thing is awesome! Easy to assemble and use. Electric start works great. You have to connect to 120v power but if you have a bad shoulder its a great way to start it. Manual start is easy with no more than two pulls needed to start it. I've used it in very heavy wet snow and it powers through with no problems. This machine is half the price of others with big brand names and has more power. Buy it

... this is listed as having electric start, which it does not. Took 4 hrs to easily assemble, but I imagine it was mostly due to my assembly being done in a 4x4, dimly lit space in a packed 9 degree garage. Shipping was faster than I was informed and was a day later than tracking said it was going to arrive. All in all, 9 days from IL to WI. I havent used it yet other than a test run to circulate oil, my anti-manual labor boyfriend cleared half the driveway and said it was a beast while smiling but stopped because the tire came loose and I'm the handy one. Upon reviewing the situation I found what you see in my pictures. Aparently there was no bolt securing the tires together. I dont know what to do. The manual doesn't list the size of the missing bolt. Now I have to take the tires into menards and find one. Sooo... not happy! I've calmed down, the replacement bolt turned out to be 5/16, 3/4". Be sure to get a large washer. My neighbor asked me for the link to order one herself. We are both custodians at a university so we are discerning shoppers from state purchased equipment. I've even shared the ink with my boss as they've been looking for a 2 stage for 12 campus buildings. Sadly they cant purchase as amazon isnt an approved supplier. This is a beast of a piece of equipment. Chains would help with tire slippage, but I'm impressed enough to give this 5* even though I'd prefer to do 4 due to the bolt. Before purchasing I shopped around. This model equivalent was $699@menards and $999@my local lawn and snow equipment retailer. This is the best buy on the market.

I purchased the powersmart snow blower from Amerisun and had a difficult time getting the product returned. Shipper coordination was the problem. Not really sure what happened. But it was finally resolved. Communication needs to be improved between seller and buyer. The snow blower functioned well initially But suddenly stopped moving forward or backward, A bolt was found in the undercarriage. I saw that some previous reviews which talked about the importance of tightening all the bolts or at least checking them. That would be good advice to follow. The machine did what it was supposed to do when it ran. Return of the item could have been easier but that was due to the lack of communication or the breakdown there of. The purchase price was refunded to me, for which Amerisun was diligent but it took a bit of effort to get everything in place.
