I only write reviews when I think they are warranted. Grab a cup or can of your favorite beverage....this may take a bit of time. To put things in perspective I purchased this 21 inch walk behind mower to replace a LA-145...48 inch cut rider. I did this to prevent spending 2000 dollars plus for another rider. Thanks to the printing of money and sending it overseas has caused inflation and an upcoming depression. I use this mower to cut the grass around my farmhouse. The grass consists of Dallas/Bahia grass. Grass that's hard to cut but this mower worked. It took approximately 30 minutes to assemble including oil and fuel. The carton was labeled as 59 pounds. Easy to push. Engine seems to be made of cast aluminum. I calculate it to be 9.5 HP for a mower. The handle has no throttle, just an idiot bar. RPM's is factory set to possibly 3600. Overall the mower works great. The mower deck is labeled as a two in one system. Can be changed from mulch to side discharge without any tools. With the type of grass I'm cutting I do use the side discharge. On the first cutting I carried a putty knife with me to clean the deck. At refuel time I checked the deck and it was mostly clean. Two small spots size of your hand has to be removed.... with my hand. I mow approximately 3/4 acre. The mower is a bit small for that much real estate but with a little patience things came out fine. There can be some improvements to the machine. These are not cons. The fuel is .25 gallon. Would be nice if it was 1/2 gallon. Also could use a filler spout that was at 45 degrees instead of a 90 degree to make refueling easier. The rubber handle is kind of cheesey. When the time comes will replace it with some pipe insulation. One more plus to this machine is the single adjustment handle for each axle. Makes it easy to adjust height. I feel with proper maintenance this mower could last a bunch of seasons. Thanks for your time..... Marshall

Easy to ready for use. Easy to start. Munches as well as any; does spray excess out like most. Cuts reasonably well, but cut is not as clean/sharp as others I've used. The safety flap on back ... I said I'd be surprised if it lasted for 3 cuts. Sure enough, during cut 2, two of the pins holding it on broke off. Strongly, it's been working better with just 1 pin left. But, I don't give that one much chance of hanging on. Already trying to figure out how to jerry-rig a fix.
