I have installed many different pad and rotor sets on many different vehicles, this set was top quality, It came with good instructions, and was a perfect fit. I chose powerstops heavy duty trailer towing set because we tow a camper with our Yukon and I wanted to have brakes that could handle heat and abuse if we were towing in the mountains or hills. I was impressed this kit came with new boots for the guide pins as well, as one of mine was looking a little rough, though removing the boots from the bracket was a chore (think a hammer and flat head) and installing them (pressed them in with a impact socket the fit over the metal part of the boot on my vise) was not easy, but that is the design of the brakes not of the kit, plus you don't want them coming loose. beyond that install was a breeze. They sent disc brake grease in the pack as well for the contact point to prevent squealing etc. but a little more would have been nice (especially if you do the boots because you will want to clean and regrease the slide pins), I have a tub of disc brake grease though so it was not issue, and you can get an additional pack at any parts store for next to nothing. I also appreciated the guide for bedding (braking in) the new pads and rotors. I know it seems like a step that people often don't do, but it is very important especially with the drilled and slotted rotors and ceramic pads. These we worth every penny, and I will be using powerstop brakes on anything i do in the future. Worth noting, when you finish the bedding procedure you will have a slight brake burning smell, don't be concerned this part of the process and is just the coatings burning off and getting the brakes bedded properly. ... show more

I only bought the pads and rotors for my lifted silverado on 33s, but these were easy to install. After breaking the pads in according to the directions, they cut my braking distance down by a atleast 20-30% from my worn oem pads and rotors. I think a lot of people are noticing uneven wear because they don't fit the pads correctly. I'm only giving this kit a 4 out of 5 because even after cleaning the surface under the shims, the pads were still sticking in the forward position and wouldn't free-float back. Please make sure that you can easily press the pads to a closed position and let them return back to where they started. I had to take a file and break the edges on the metal backing plate. After cleaning them up I applied a high temp paint to seal them and reduce the chances of rust buildup. Other than that, this set works great and I highly recommend them as a cheap and effective upgrade to your lifted truck and I can't wait to see how they feel when I'm hauling a load ... show more

I’ve had these on my truck(2010 Silverado LT) for about 2 weeks and so far haven’t had any issues. These are just as good if not better than the factory brakes as far as stopping power is concerned. Living in central Florida we get high summer temps and there’s a lot of stop and go traffic so hopefully these drilled and slotted rotors will keep my brakes a little cooler. One thing I feel I must mention is you have to GREASE YOUR SLIDE PINS when you do a brake job. I can almost guarantee that a lot of the one star reviews come from people who didn’t do this and destroyed their new brake parts when their calipers seize up from lack of slide pin lubrication. If you don’t know what I’m talking about just do a quick google search. It’s quick and easy and is a must do for every brake job and will save you lots of money and heartache. ... show more

This brake kit fit perfect on my 2015 Silverado. I liked how the rotors were labeled left and right (they are directional) so you don't get them mixed up. I also loved that the guide pin boots are included in this kit! That is a fantastic item that is usually overlooked on most brake jobs. I am only a few days into changing my brakes and I am very pleased with this product. If you ever changed brakes before this was very easy to do. So far so good. The break in process went really well. Literally just drove around and mashed on the brakes really hard a couple times. It also came with the little boots to change for your slide pins which was a bonus because this big dummy tore one when I was pulling my caliper off. These Power Stop K2069-36 Z36 will be my go to from now on for my 2015 GMC Sierra. Even if these pads don't last as long as other brands, the price is well worth it. I would rather change my brakes and rotors again than pay a shop an extra $2/300 to do it. ... show more
