  • Definitely better than stock
Installed on my 2011 Subaru WRX. Likes - Seems to be very well made. Plating was consistent. All necessary parts were in the kit, including brake lube. Discs fit perfectly with no issues. I checked disc runout, it's within factory Subaru specs. Braking is noticeably stronger with less pedal effort. Braking is easier to modulate and more progressive. No squeaks. No pedal pulsations when operating at any speed. Concerns - The instructions were very vague. No torque specs were provided, which is very unfortunate because some aftermarket tech manuals have an incorrect specification; the caliper mount and pad housing values are incorrectly reversed in my Hanley book. Also, the pads and sheet metal shims have little ears that must be correctly aligned and matched. The instructions for that were missing. Overall, the quality of the kit is excellent.   • Great upgrade for the Outback
I installed these on my daily driven 2013 Outback. I have installed this brand on my 2008 BMW 128i previously and was/am impressed. They have been holding up just fine and work great so I put them on the Subie. Stopping has improved tremendously. Great grip and feel, no fade, and no pulsating. They are a little more noisier than the stock brakes during the stop, but that comes with slotted/drilled rotors. If this is something you do not desire, I would suggest their kit with the solid rotors. The will produce some dust, but nothing worse than the factory pads. ... show more

  • Rotors Warp Quickly
I've bought two sets of these over the years for my wrx. First set the front rotors started to warp after 10k miles. They got progressively worse. But the brakes performed ok.. they stopped the car at least. So I let them go till the pads wore out at around 40k miles. I bought another set. The second set warped at about 15k miles. This time, I just bought AC Delco rotors to replace the warped power stop ones. I'm not going to put up with warped rotors and juddering brakes.   • Solid good brakes
These are some solid set up. I got the slotted version instead of smooth rotors. They have a nice stopping power and smooth as well. Do follow the break in instructions. They are noisy when breaking hard due to it being slotted. But nothing major. The only issue I had were the hardware kits that they sent never worked. I ended up using the old oem ones as the ones I got with the setup. Would seize the pads and as they are not able to move. So next Maintenance I will go buy some oem hardware so they are updated as well. The team did try to fix it by sending replacement but did not solve the problem. Also one of the rear pads was missing the brake wear indicator. Which was included in replacement. Installed on 2014 legacy ... show more

These things are great. Zero squeeking, not a lot of dust, and have lasted quite long so far. When I first installed them there was a noticable difference in braking distance, you can feel it. Held up really well. Only negative was I got them planning on painting them black first but I did not because of the way they described their pads to wear on the rotors with a special coating. ... show more

  • Great brakes and read my notes!!
Awesome brake package. READ the instructions! The break-in after the installation has to followed so ensure the resins in the brake pads setup correctly. Seems strange? Not really, once you follow the extremely easy instructions your brakes will grip exceptionally well. The instructions do state, failure to complete them break-in instructions WILL result in under-performing and shortened life brakes. Package came complete with all hardware, rotors and pads. NOTE: some rotors and drums have two or more threaded bolt holes. They are there to help you get the old drums or rotors off the car. Take one of the new rotors or drums to the hardware store. Purchase the correct size "hardened" bolts about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches long. When you get back to your vehicle, screw them in and start turning with a socket wrench and the rotors or drums will come off the car pretty easily. Highly recommended!! ... show more
