Plugged in when i needed it, worked for 2 seconds....then went blank. I should have run it through the ringer when i received it. I bought a quality inverter from Harbor Freight of all places. works like a champ. Powers up my circular saw, sawzall, compressor etc. I hope i can save someone from buying this junk from amazon. Too bad i missed the window for returns. My loss. Hope this review helps.

I finally got a chance to test out this 500W inverter. It doesn't weigh much. It registered 727.6 grams on my scale. The included cables seem sufficient though not very long. The fan runs as expected for cooling while loaded, and runs faster & louder the more work it does. I started testing with a 500W halogen floor lamp from a 12V 33AH battery. Output was maintained at 120V during this test. However the inverter displayed an input voltage .3 - .8 volts less than what I measured at the battery with my Fluke. I made measurements both at the battery and at the inverter terminals and got the same readings at both test points. I trust the Fluke meter over the inverter. It's better (safer) that the error is low rather than measuring high. I tried operating my 1/3hp sump pump using the 33AH battery from this inverter. It repeatedly shut down its output with an overload error, so that worked. The inverter reset itself from this overload condition without any manual intervention on my part. I tried operating the 500W lamp using a 7AH battery that was not fully charged. With the lamp controls set to roughly 50%, the little battery was able to operate the lamp. With the lamp adjusted approximately 75% the battery voltage dropped below 10.5 volts and the inverter shut down with an error message that read LO on the display. The inverter needed to be power cycled (shut off) to clear the error and resume operation. I can't vouch for longevity with this. It neither weighs nor costs much, and you usually get what you pay for. Sorry, I haven't tested the USB ports as I don't plan on using them.

So far so good! I really like this product. So far it has performed beautifully. I work construction and not all the properties I'm on have power so being able to keep my power tools up and running is a blessing to say the least. Great price for a great product. I could definitely see this coming in handy during our just after a hurricane as well. Not a bad tool to have in the arsenal at all

The inverter is a good inverter but they give you cheap thin wire and clips if you are using 1000 Watts the wire will melt the clips will get steaming hot be careful if you're ordering this gets zero gauge wire and new clips.

I bought the 1000W unit to run an oxygen concentrater for my mother while I moved her from NC to MA. I used 8 gauge wire and lug, wire directly to the battery and through the firewall. In around 18 hours of operation there wasn't a single blip in the power delivery from this unit. She made it home safe and comfortable in part due to the performance of this inverter.
