Couldn't be more pleased with the quality and value of this product. Everything is solid and well made. I love the coffee cups and feel so 'Scandinavian chic' using them! I love "no contact with hot plastic" in my coffee brewing any longer. Using the same whole beans as before, I think the coffee tastes better with this simple new brewing system. It takes just about 5 minutes to boil the water, prep the grounds, and pour it out. It's a calming Zen process to begin my days.

The grinder broke on day one, on the first use, and that's my only complaint about this set. My husband has been getting into making coffee, all kinds of special ways, with special beans, etc, so I got this set for him, as a surprise. He'd was super ecstatic to get it and used it pretty much right away, after washing it. He had a small, piecemeal setup, but this is really an all-in-one to get going right away. You'll need some filters, some beans, and a cup, and you're good to go. His favorite item is the kettle. He puts it right on the electric burner and it's fully undamaged after a couple of weeks of use. This set comes in a nice carry case. He stores lesser used pieces in it. But he uses most of this set often. He's made a lot of coffee with this. He says that everything is very high quality. Except for the grinder. We think that one was just a lemon. Everything else is really well made, no flaws, no imperfections. If you're gifting this, I'd say maybe buy a nice grinder too, and see if it fits in the case. Or just add it as an extra gift with some coffee beans or something. This would make a great gift for a person who loves to make their own coffee. My husband has been very impressed by this and has used it probably every other day, or parts of it. That kettle has definitely had some miles put on it and it still looks brand new. It would make a thoughtful gift that would get a lot of use. It's also good to travel with. We did take it to the hotel with our electric kettle and he made his favorite coffee right there. Having a taste of home and being able to go through the routine of making your special coffee away from home isn't something to be discounted.

This coffee maker comes in a very nice box that is elegant and displays the product beautifully. This would make a great wedding gift. Of course the first thing I had to do was make a cup of coffee! It didn't really have any instructions, and I was not sure if you could actually put the gooseneck kettle on the stove - but I did it anyway - and it worked fine - with one exception... As the water heats up in the kettle it will start a percolator effect - and water will start 'burping' out of the gooseneck. You are probably better off heating water in a tea kettle and transferring it into the gooseneck kettle before pouring over the coffee grounds. Once the water is heated - the gooseneck kettle makes it very easy to pour the water over the grounds. Its balanced nicely - and you can easily control the flow of water as you pour it over your grounds. The filter worked great - and cleaned up easily with a quick rinse in the sink. And best of all - this makes a great cup of coffee! The small stainless steel cups are insulated and keep the coffee nice and warm without burning your hands. Really a nice work of art that is useable! Sometimes its nice to slow down life -and keep things simple. I refer to this product as 'mindful coffee'. Slow down - take a little time - and enjoy!

This is a great all-in-one pour-over coffee set that includes a metal reusable coffee filter, a dripper, and a measuring scoop. It's so much fun to go camping with this set and whip out a gourmet cup of coffee in the middle of nowhere. All you need is hot water, and you can choose between fine or coarse grinds with the hand grinder, which effects how dark the coffee is going to get. The coffee filter is reusable, so you can make multiple cups of coffee without having to buy new filters. Great stuff.

Everything in this set is well made and sturdy but there are significant problems, especially with the kettle and the filter parts. The kettle is only about 3 1/4" in diameter on the bottom so on a gas or electric stove it will be undersized and tons of heat will be wasted. In fact on a gas range the flames will mostly be outside the kettle unless on a simmer burner. This is a major problem on my gas stove. Also it is not induction ready. The kettle is well made and pours very nicely. The filter portion of the set is also a problem. It is a stainless steel unit with very tiny holes to filter the coffee and it does not work well , taking forever to work. And when finished the thing is clogged up and is a mess to clean out. I used it once and will never use it again. Compared to an ordinary paper filter,this gadget FAILS big time. The two insulated cups which come with it are really good and they will keep coffee hot for quite a while. They compare quite well with other cups of similar design in terms of insulation. Best use of this set in my opinion would be as a gift to a little girl to dispense lemonade at a tea party, such as my sister did when she was 7 or 8 years old. For actually brewing coffee, NO! This is not what you will want. this is an honest unbiased review based on my own use of it and my personal opinion of it. I am unable to recommend it for daily use in brewing coffee.
