This system has been great. It kept my house so cozy during winter, even in temps as low as 3° F. Now temps have been getting up to high 80s and it keeps my house cool and I'm confident it will continue to do so when the heat waves hit in July. The air quality has improved a ton since it was installed, even with 3 indoor cats. Everything was installed by an HVAC professional as a side gig for a really reasonable price and I added a UV light to the living room head unit. I reserved judgement until I received a few electric bills. The cooling quality and efficiency is outstanding. The dehumidifier does a much better job than my portable dehumidifier and it never needs emptied. This unit is not quite as efficient with heating but it still is less expensive than my available alternatives. I've seen mini-split units that are not as good as this one for almost double the price. This is a great unit and I would recommend it to anyone. The only complaint I had was it was a little difficult to install. Most other units I have seen have a removable panel on the front so that coolant lines can be easily connected after the unit head is hung on the wall. These heads lacked that panel so, in most situations, you have to connect the coolant lines first and then hang the head while, at the same time, fishing the lines through the hole you cut in the wall. This is nearly impossible to do this by yourself, so just plan on having some help with that part of the process. ... show more

    • Nice system but beware unexpected costs and know what you are doing for install

This unit is nice. It installs well. There were some weird things like different sized fittings on the units where the person constructing it probably threw on different weird fittings and it wasn't QC'ed. My runs were all over the 16 ft. kit provided which obviously required a lot of extra piping and wiring with special tools and materials you will need. Also, you will need to consider the ducting channels and additional insulation etc. to run everything. Installing these units is a little more involved than many online resources will let on. If your line runs are longer than the 16ft, you will also need to hire a certified HVAC tech to add refrigerant to the lines. All in, I don't think I actually saved that much money over just hiring and HVAC outfit to plan and install a system. I will say the system looks decent and is much more quiet than I was expecting.     • Good price the bad thermostatic control

These units work well and the price is right however thermostatic control is almost non-existent. The head units seem to have to be reset and heating mode in order for them to read the room temperature from the remote control. I call customer service several times and got confusing instructions. Essentially I have to manually control the units. Very frustrating. This seems to be at least a four to 10° swing in temperature before they turn on and off. In air conditioning mode they work very well and are very efficient but still have the thermostat control issue. Until the company resolves the problem I would not recommend them. ... show more

Highly recommended. If you want to upgrade your old heating and/or A/C his the way to go. Ductless mini splits from Senville rock. It’s amazing what these units will cool and heat. I’m in Scottsdale AZ and just one of these 12k btu units in our large master bedroom makes ice cubes .. it’s awesome compared to running the whole house central ac and contributing to the electric companies good fortune and endless gouging. Can’t go wrong here ... and if you have any questions , Senville is there for you the whole way. A1 service so don’t worry go ahead and upgrade to a heat pump ductless Senville mini splits . The electronics are high quality, ( my industry) , so I can vouch first hand for the quality of these units. ... show more

    • Super quiet, very cold

Just installed the 3 zone 12000 btu units. Easy to install, although get the longer line sets, SUPER QUIET, no1 even knows it's on. And it's coming out at 58.9 degrees on an 82 degree day. Very cold, super quiet, will DEFINITELY be buying more for the other side of my house.

Really regret buying this, it is terrible at heating. It is advertised as being a great option for cold climates but even yesterday at 43 degrees, we needed a wall heater to reach 68 degrees in the house. It is great at air conditioning (and uses hardly any power for a/c it’s impressive) but that doesn’t help me in the long Idaho winters. Really disappointed. My power bill for a small townhouse (even before we got the space heater) is over $250 for barely any output. I’ve had it for 3 winters now and I’m going to see if I can return it (I bought a long warranty). ... show more
