This set contains what a potter would need to make several different ceramic items depending on how the molds are used. The wooden guides are a nice addition. They are quite sturdy and well made. The handles line up nicely with the holes in the molds and wood is nice and smooth. I guess they assume you'll have someone to teach you how to use them because they don't come with any instructions. However, they do have a video online you can check out.

I've been following a lot of potters on social media, and I have several personal friends who are potters. I have been dying to get my hands in clay and learn some of the amazing techniques I've been observing. This set was definitely a draw for me as I have been planning to work on making some small bowl shaped platters and trays. The wooden press molds are smooth and are labeled on the back with the size. The handle screws in easily and firmly giving you a secure grip for forming your bowl. I'm impressed with the quality of this set for the price and look forward to using them for classes and making some beautiful pieces of pottery.

I decided to select these molds largely because I would like to use them to form polymer clay trinket dishes. It's not exactly what they were designed for, which is ceramic clay for fired projects. They are very well made, however one of the screws in the smaller bowl mold seems not to be set perpendicular and so the handle screws in uncentered. I also think the manufacturer could have included three handles instead of just one. Especially for $40. If I lose the only handle, then I don't have one to use at all. For these reasons, I have taken away one star. This pottery mold set from Enerfun would easily be a 5-star product if all handles were included (at the $40 price), and if the handles screw into the molds so they are centered.

These are great!! Even more so once I had them in my hands and I realized that unlike other casting molds and forms that I have used in the passed to make bowls and plates, with this style of form I can make matching saucers with the same pieces!! I am hoping I can use the same bowl mold for the saucer. but I might have to size up for the saucer (size 3in for bowl with size 4.5in for saucer then of course use something else for saucer for the size 6.5in bowl) Handle fits great and squarely and does not wiggle. The sticks are even, rolling pin and forms themselves are all good and free of damage.

I really wanted to like this set but...it did not go together well. I finally found the bolt in the handle was not put in straight so you can see the bolt in my pictures. Another picture shows the handle with cooked bolt attached to one of the molds and you can see the gap which makes the handle not straight up and down. Last, while putting the handle in I got a splinter from the side of the mold which in several places was not sanded down and I attached a picture of a dip in the wood on the edge. This would show in your pottery and be very ugly. I hate leaving bad reviews but this is just not usable.

I am very happy with this 7 piece, wooden, pottery mold tool set. Nicely manufactured with smooth surfaces this all wood set of mold crafters, rolling pin and mud sticks is perfect for the aspiring potter. I am very impressed with the 3 bowl molds which are attached to a removable wooden handle. These are going to be so handy to create multiple bowl sets of standard sizing and these are the primary reason I obtained this set of tools although the rolling pin and mud sticks are so handy to have on hand as spares. I also feel that these tools will last me for many years in my pottery. I am very pleased with this set, thank you.

I am unsure why the listing says plaster molds, these are very much so wooden. Great to roll slabs, then using a thick piece of foam laying the clay on the foam and pressing the wooden molds into the clay to creat nice bowls. This is a great set, just note there is no plaster anything in this set. Great gift for a potter!
