  • [EXCLUSIVELY BY PENGUIN POTTERY!] - After many months of research, Penguin Pottery is introducing the first Glow in the Dark glaze for ceramics and pottery! We are so excited to bring you this amazing new ceramic glaze line and can't wait to see what you create! Check out the video we made, you're going to love it! Just in time for Halloween! Get everyone's attention making original decorations for special occasions. Great Christmas gift and original birthday gift.
  • [EASY TO USE] - You can paint our glow in the dark glaze onto greenware, bisqueware or already-glazed finished work . This glaze should be fired to a fast cone 06. Any hotter and the glaze may lose its glow. Contents may settle at the bottom of the jar. Stir with every dip of your brush. The glow glaze doesnt have a glossy smooth finish and thats normal. For a glossy finish, cover it with our low fire clear glaze formulated (sold separately) and fire them together at cone 06.
  • [FIRE IN POTTERY KILN] - Pottery glaze must be fired in a pottery kiln. Do not fired in a kitchen oven. Ceramic glazes are classified according to a temperature range ("cone") in three general groups: "low-fire," "mid-fire," and "high-fire." Your ceramic kiln must be temperature calibrated to confirm it is firing at the target temperature / cone. Our glow glaze is nontoxic but has not been tested for food safety. We dont recommend painting this glaze on surfaces that will have food on them.
  • [GET IT GLOWING!] - After you fire your ceramic, expose it to UV light, daylight, ultraviolet light, etc. The fired glaze stores the light energy and then slowly releases over time. At night or in a dark room, you will see the luminescence. Tip: the longer you expose the fired glaze to light, the longer it will radiate afterwards.
  • [LIFETIME WARRANTY] - All Penguin Pottery products are backed by our Lifetime Warranty. See warranty & support section for more information. If you have any issues, we will give you a refund or replace your board - no questions asked!
  • Try painting a design of underglaze over our glow glaze to really highlight your work in the dark!
  • Have a high fired piece you want to add glow to? Treat our Glow Glaze like a specialty third firing and paint right on top of finished wares. Fire to a fast cone 06 (no holds) and enjoy the glow in the dark glaze on any piece.

  • Was a big hit for me
Color: Aqua
The media could not be loaded. I use low fire clay finished all my details and glaze fire and treated the Aqua Glow as a third fire. Nice thin coat and used a black light to charge. Sold all my bottles that I put it on.

  • Help! It isn't glowing
Color: Aqua
I've tried this glaze a number of times and it still isn't working. Does it need clear on top? Does it have to have a bottom glaze? I did it straight on bisque and it's just an ugly white. Cone 06. Charged in the hot sun all day and still not even a bit of color in the dark. Would love this to work. Please refund or give better directions:) ... show more

  • Such a FUN glaze!
Color: Aqua
My husband bought this glaze for me as a gift. I have used it a number of times with great results! I should mention some important things about this glaze after seeing other reviews. It fires white/off-white and is NOT a smooth glass-like glaze like most others!! It doesn't glow ALL the time! It's glow-in-the-dark! Just like most glow in the dark paints etc it needs to be charged in sunlight for best results! The intensity of the glow is dependent on this, the longer it charges the better. It will lose charge too just like a battery and need to sit in sunlight to recharge. The glow is not 100% uniform because the "glow" ingredient is a pigment but is not a fine powder like most glazes. This means if you don't follow the instructions and constantly stir with the brush as you apply the pigment sinks to the bottom much like the crystal glazes. You can see in the photo with my hand that I didn't mix the glaze well and got spots of glow which is ACTUALLY what I was going for on that flower piece. I use a milk frother to stir FIRST then dig deep with my brush as I apply, unless I want a speckle glow. (All of this is mentioned on the instructional sticker that comes with the glaze) This sheet also only recommends a single firing to keep glow at optimum power. If you use clear or other glazes they should all be applied at once for a single cone 06 firing. I fire to cone 05 (slightly higher than manufacturer reccomendation) but only one single firing and still get fantastic results! I have also used this glaze along side other manufacturer's glazes with no issue. If layered it WILL affect your glaze color just like any other combination of glazes. I've used this with crystal glazes with no adverse reactions. That's not saying it will play well with ANY glaze, but that's what test tiles are for. TL;DR This is NOT your typical glaze and shouldn't be treated as such! IF you follow the provided instructions EVERY TIME you will get GREAT glowing results! The glow pigment needs charged, just like MOST glow-in-the-dark stuff put that thing in the SUN before testing the glow!! 100% recommend if you can follow simple instructions. ... show more
