I debated buying this for a while due to the price…seems like a lot for a kids stool. We have only had it for a few weeks and as far as I am concerned it has paid for its self. Instead of grabbing my legs and or covering the living room in toys while we make dinner my 19 month old daughter now happily hangs out at the counter with us. She colors or “helps” prep food, and is generally just happy to be able to see what we are doing. We even move it over to the dinner table if we are eating after her so she can see what we are up to without having to be on a lap the whole time which is what she constantly wanted before. Great product for parents and children. This is perfect when you you want to include your toddler or child in activities on the counter or island ( if you have one). It pulls up right next to the counter. The child has to stand on the platform in the stool. My Grandson and his parents love this addition to their home. Their son gets to draw, eat, help bake etc. right along side mom or dad. When not in use it easily folds away and takes up little space. This is a great tool for those who have a fidgety child that can’t sit. Climbing into the seat is fun, like a jungle gym for a kid. Standing for a fidgety kid is easier than sitting. I bought it for my granddaughter for her 2nd Birthday, but when we opened it one of the legs had cracks running down to the bottom. It should have never left the factory this way, especially since a child would be standing on it and it could collapse. I had to drop it off and in a week the new one arrived in perfect condition. Can I give this 6 stars? My daughter absolutely loves this kitchen helper! She’s 1.5 years old and it has been such a life saver in our house. She can stand at the counter with me and watch me cook rather than standing at my ankles crying saying “up”. My favorite feature is that it completely folds flat to store out of the way. My daughter loves this. As she got holder the adjustable base made it safe and it also made it easier for her to get in. You only need to assemble the legs as everything else comes pre-assembled.
