The media could not be loaded. I received my replacement today. Thank you so much Amazon for your quick response and very fair (and liberal) return policy. I ordered the first one 2 weeks ago but really hadn’t had anytime to mess with it. When I finally got to it I was a little concerned as it appeared as though it was a used or reconditioned drone. Which would have been fine but I ordered New and did not pay used prices. My first clue was the packaging. Things just didn’t look to be very well wrapped for new. Then when I handled the remote the joysticks were loose in certain directions but also stuck in other (11 and 1). Still I proceeded as I figured that as a novice flyer I won’t feel as bad if (when) I start running into things or landing hard. The drone paired up very easily outdoors and I despite being in a remote location, I had no issues with GPS. The first flight is where I noticed a bigger issue. The flight time, which isn’t all that great to begin with, was even shorter. So when I went to recharge the battery, the LED would not bounce past 2 dots and then it refused to shut off, stuck on the 2 lights. I tried other chargers. I tried to run the drone with it but the drone and nothing else could seem to break its freeze. I asked the company if I could just exchange the battery but I received no response so I had to return the item. I was tempted to refund all of it and look at another type, but I did happen to get off a couple of photos and videos and was very happy with the quality. The fact that the camera is on a gimbal and it’s the only one in this price range with the feature, I want to give it another shot. Upon receipt of the new one, it confirmed my suspicions of the first being a refurbished model. This one came very well packaged. So on to the actual use. As mentioned earlier, I am a novice flyer but I have yet to purchase a higher end drone so this was my first drone with all of these features. Start up is very easy and it does well to maintain GPS signal. The WiFi connection is a breeze. I have yet to have any issues finding the signal and connecting my phone. On the first drone the remote control phone holder was loose and was unable to support the weight of my phone, but the new one does not have that issue. (Another clue). Take off was simple and flight controls are well placed. It does take a little time getting use to where all the features are on the remote, but it is very intuitive and makes sense once you do. I have not been able to use the GPS plotting feature and can’t wait to give it a shot, but the return home and follow me features are very very good. The selfie feature is pretty cool too if you like that sort of thing. Landing proved to be a little difficult for me to get use to. Finding out how to stop the blades from turning should be one of the first things you practice. I also really liked the auto return on battery discharge feature. That will save a lot of walking and searching. The find me feature is accurate as well. As someone who lives in a heavily tree filled area, I have lost a few cheaper drones to the drone eaters, so I am grateful that I have that as a fallback. The drone also does super well in the wind. Not heavy mind you but a sustained wind is easily manageable. Overall, if you are looking for a mid range drone packed with features with a beginners option but without requires some skill, you can’t go wrong. My only knock is the god awful battery life. I’ve seen where others have managed 13 - 15 minutes as advertised, but I as of yet have only maxed at 7. I am hoping that the new one ups it to that time. I also am hoping that Protensic will offer a longer life battery, or at least the cost of replacements drop. I am also hoping to score an extra battery by writing this review! Still I highly recommend it! The video shows how easy it is to pair the drone. If I was outside, in sight of the GPS signal, the lights would have been blue and white. The red and white signal that there is no GPS connection (yet) ... show more

    • AMAZING customer service from Potensic!!!
My 11 yo son received this as a gift from his grandparents. It is a great product for a beginner. He thoroughly enjoyed using it and filming with it. He was putting together a film of me baling hay one day it crashed (he thought it malfunctioned). It could not be found. He was absolutely devastated. I just told him it is what it is. On his own accord, he contacted Potensic to tell them about the situation. I didn’t expect much, but to my surprise, they were extremely responsive. After communicating questions and answers, they said they would send him a new drone free of charge! He was thrilled! When it showed up, it was badly damaged during the delivery and UPS recommended rejecting the package. At that point, I thought we should just leave alone. Amazingly, Potensic followed up. We told them what happened and didn’t expect them to send another, but they are!! This level of customer service is unheard of these days. I was looking at some drones for aerial shots of an acreage and didn't want grainy pictures or video. I had messed with a couple 50-100$ drones to be disappointed in so many 'features' that worked enough to call them HD or hover but really worthless. This drone was the next step and seeing some of the pictures and videos from it were my deciding factor. I put 4 screenshots from video taken from the drone as well as a small clip (if it ever finishes uploading). Not sure how well it will come out after the upload, but hopefully it will help you decide if its worth it or not. Full disclosure, i haven't used the GPS flying or Follow me features. Its next on the list but my son and I ran it through the paces with just controller flying and some videos and pictures. Once we use those I'll update this review. Windy days are no joke. Seriously, if its blowing more than 8 or 10mph you may be retrieving your drone from a tree or rooftop. Very lightweight and will climb in altitude rapidly, altho I cant say if we made it to 900+ feet before we brought it back down. App works well on my andriod running OS 8.1 and wasnt too bad for installing. Some bouncing around in the menu and we had a cell phone video link going in no time. I dont' have a VR headset so will have to wait on that feature too. If the app is installed then you can record the vid/pics on your phone, but smoother on the microSD card on the drone. Which brings me to range of the controller/wifi. I don't think it is as far as it could be, but works well for shorter range flights. 200 feet maybe? Could've been the controller or drone charge impacting it but can't say for sure. Once the battery is starting to run out it will start returning to its place of origin, i.e. where ever you launched from. Batteries charge pretty quickly, and take a microUSB cord so no proprietary plugs or any of that crap. Packaging with the case was good and there is room for another battery (or 2 if your creative). Having a case makes it great for storing/traveling and keeps people from sitting on parts and loosing pieces. Or is it sitting on pieces and loosing parts?!? Anyhow, it is a very easy drone to fly and will hover when you stop flying it around. I have crashed a few and this one isn't going to break the first flight unless its too windy (try to fly it under 10mph). First time out we went through 4 batteries without crashing at all, well, the cottonwood tree doesn't count as the battery was dying....Oh yeah, use the included blade guards, they do help. My only complaint would be that the battery could be a little larger but I'm not sure how that would affect the fly time or control. 1000mah goes quick when your having fun! 6 to 7 min per battery is what we were averaging and after flying it into the cottonwood tree we brought it back when the battery meter was showing red or the lights on the drone turned red showing it was almost out of charge. FWIW, Potensic makes a T35 drone with 2500mah batteries, but I couldn't find one with a case. There is a tilt/trim motor for the camera and kind of a nice feature. We got a couple shots across the road/valley and they turned out alright. I may tape some LED lights on watch batteries and fly it into the barn so the camera can actually see something in there. All in all it's a good drone for the money and you won't be disappointed if you pick it up, just get a couple more batteries and avoid the windy days! ... show more
