Everything you need to get started is in the box. You will want to get a high speed micro SD card if you get serious about recording videos. I bought the mini 4k a week before this one, and instantly regretted it after learning about how many features the mini 5 pro offers. Easy to fly, fun, and a good deal in my opinion. Make sure you take the TRUST exam via one of the FAA approved sites and that you register your drone before flying. This takes about an hour of time and costs just a few dollars. Just buy the DJI Mini 5 Pro. You won't be sorry. I am giving the product a 5 star even though I had to return it. The camera Gimbal failed the first day. But, I liked it so much I ordered another one. Fly it pretty much out of the box after charging batteries and a quick operator run thru. If you do your research, DJI is one of the top Drone manufactures out their. Don't fall into the "I can get soemthing cheaper" mindset. For the money it is the best. This is probably going to be a fairly long term buy, don't be cheap. Before I did my full due diligent research, I ordered two DJI lesser models. I canceled those right away after I realized they did not have Omni-Directional avoidance features, just forward, backward, up & down. Spend the extra and get the mini 5 Pro. Also get the mid-price combo kit. It's a better value. You get 3 of the higher performance batteries for longer fly time, extra propellers, camera lens filters, etc. Also, after the Gimbal failed & I googled around to try to fixed it myself (all soft fixes, no invasive hardware fixes) I decided to buy a Gimbal Protector for my re-order. Some say don't, but for a few bucks I thought I would try one. It doesnt seem to affect performance. Like I said, This thing is Out of th Box ready to fly. Easy, easy, easy to fly. Lots of features others don't have. Beautiful videos & Photos. I reccomend Youtube: "DJI Mini 5 Pro Beginner's Guide & Best Settings" by MountMedia. Step by step insttructions. Thourough and easy to understand. Still learning but I absolutely love it! You still need to get registered, even as a "for fun" user & register your drone. So I've been eyeing this since last year finally cracked and told the wife I'm getting one I'm done waiting. placed the order. Was so scared this would come and be the 4 pro not the 5 but shockingly it was the right drone. I mean it was the same price for either so I wasn't going to be that mad but still. If you or anyone you know want this drone before thiers no stock left in the US do it don't wait to much longer. The bag that came with it was okay but in my opinion not great for much unless you are going to be traveling around the world taking it with you and still I prefer the bag I got on the side witch let's me take everything I could want with it. Can't say anything about how it flys yet I will up date this review after about 6 months in but so far I'm just happy it came and is exactly what I ordered. the product seems to be well made and they put so much effort in to the quality and design of it. I mean it feels like it's made of very durable and high quality plastic. I know you think at this price metal would be better but keep in mind metal is heavier and more pricey. I definitely like how easy it was to get it set up but it does have a few thing I would keep in mind. It's a signed package so make sure you are home and ready for the required signature. Second do not open the box and expect to just throw the battery in and fly it in 10 minutes. This took an hour to get set up. it has updates the battery need to be charged to full before the first flight now with that being said you can use the batterys to update it from the box and charge the separate ones so you could go fly after unboxing but don't just plan on running out and flying. Third thing is remember you have to take the trust test to fly in the USA and Remember you need LAANC and FAA clearance and permissions to fly in restricted zones this drone will lock you out untill you provide this information to dji and have updated the remote to let you fly only on the rc-2 not the non screened remote. !!!ATTENTION!!! THIS IS NOT A TOY. This is a peace of high end equipment that requires you to follow the law. You will end up with cops call you or showing up to your door if you do not follow the law. With that being stated this is a great drone from what I have been able to see so far but this isn't something I would just hand to a beginner and say have fun go do what you want. the smart controller has a sim to practice and I plane on getting hours of flight time in the controller sim before I take this thing out for its first flight. so I can get use to the control and how this thing works. But all that aside if you have been wanting one and have the money do it and spend the money for the combo and don't say you will upgrade later. if it's still for sale and the 1100 mark get it it's worth every penny. ... show more

The flight time is excellent and the quality is superior. The only thing I changed was adding a Firehouse Technology mini strobe to give better visibilty day and night. Don't let the size fool you. This drone holds its own. It does occasionally have issues in stronger winds, but not nearly as much as I initially expected. The video quality isn't as good as my Air 3S, but I have no complaints about the photos. Flight time is definitely acceptable. I can't believe how light the batteries are. Let me be upfront — this is not a casual purchase. The price is steep and you need to go in knowing that. But if you’re serious about content creation, cinematography, or just want the best footage possible from a drone this size, this is genuinely hard to argue with. The image quality coming out of this thing is stunning. The camera handles different lighting conditions better than you’d expect from something this compact, and the stabilization makes everything look smooth and intentional even when conditions aren’t perfect. The RC 2 controller is a big upgrade over using your phone — the built in screen makes a real difference when you’re actually out shooting. Flight time is solid, the obstacle avoidance gives you confidence especially when you’re learning, and the fact that it’s under 249g means you’re not dealing with the heavier registration requirements which matters if you’re flying regularly. The only reason this isn’t 5 stars is purely the cost. The Fly More Combo is the right way to buy it — extra batteries and the bag are essentially necessary — but the total comes out to a number that’s hard to swallow. If you’re a hobbyist just wanting to fly on weekends it might be hard to justify. But if you’re using it for professional content, client work, or building a portfolio, you’ll make that money back and then some. Investment piece, not an impulse buy ... show more
