Just buy the DJI Mini 5 Pro. You won't be sorry. I am giving the product a 5 star even though I had to return it. The camera Gimbal failed the first day. But, I liked it so much I ordered another one. Fly it pretty much out of the box after charging batteries and a quick operator run thru. If you do your research, DJI is one of the top Drone manufactures out their. Don't fall into the "I can get soemthing cheaper" mindset. For the money it is the best. This is probably going to be a fairly long term buy, don't be cheap. Before I did my full due diligent research, I ordered two DJI lesser models. I canceled those right away after I realized they did not have Omni-Directional avoidance features, just forward, backward, up & down. Spend the extra and get the mini 5 Pro. Also get the mid-price combo kit. It's a better value. You get 3 of the higher performance batteries for longer fly time, extra propellers, camera lens filters, etc. Also, after the Gimbal failed & I googled around to try to fixed it myself (all soft fixes, no invasive hardware fixes) I decided to buy a Gimbal Protector for my re-order. Some say don't, but for a few bucks I thought I would try one. It doesnt seem to affect performance. Like I said, This thing is Out of th Box ready to fly. Easy, easy, easy to fly. Lots of features others don't have. Beautiful videos & Photos. I reccomend Youtube: "DJI Mini 5 Pro Beginner's Guide & Best Settings" by MountMedia. Step by step insttructions. Thourough and easy to understand. Still learning but I absolutely love it! You still need to get registered, even as a "for fun" user & register your drone. So I've been eyeing this since last year finally cracked and told the wife I'm getting one I'm done waiting. placed the order. Was so scared this would come and be the 4 pro not the 5 but shockingly it was the right drone. I mean it was the same price for either so I wasn't going to be that mad but still. If you or anyone you know want this drone before thiers no stock left in the US do it don't wait to much longer. The bag that came with it was okay but in my opinion not great for much unless you are going to be traveling around the world taking it with you and still I prefer the bag I got on the side witch let's me take everything I could want with it. Can't say anything about how it flys yet I will up date this review after about 6 months in but so far I'm just happy it came and is exactly what I ordered. the product seems to be well made and they put so much effort in to the quality and design of it. I mean it feels like it's made of very durable and high quality plastic. I know you think at this price metal would be better but keep in mind metal is heavier and more pricey. I definitely like how easy it was to get it set up but it does have a few thing I would keep in mind. It's a signed package so make sure you are home and ready for the required signature. Second do not open the box and expect to just throw the battery in and fly it in 10 minutes. This took an hour to get set up. it has updates the battery need to be charged to full before the first flight now with that being said you can use the batterys to update it from the box and charge the separate ones so you could go fly after unboxing but don't just plan on running out and flying. Third thing is remember you have to take the trust test to fly in the USA and Remember you need LAANC and FAA clearance and permissions to fly in restricted zones this drone will lock you out untill you provide this information to dji and have updated the remote to let you fly only on the rc-2 not the non screened remote. !!!ATTENTION!!! THIS IS NOT A TOY. This is a peace of high end equipment that requires you to follow the law. You will end up with cops call you or showing up to your door if you do not follow the law. With that being stated this is a great drone from what I have been able to see so far but this isn't something I would just hand to a beginner and say have fun go do what you want. the smart controller has a sim to practice and I plane on getting hours of flight time in the controller sim before I take this thing out for its first flight. so I can get use to the control and how this thing works. But all that aside if you have been wanting one and have the money do it and spend the money for the combo and don't say you will upgrade later. if it's still for sale and the 1100 mark get it it's worth every penny. ... show more

Huge upgrade from my Mini 2 and still got all the punch in as much as air series but just that its light; would not recommend flying over lakes as the weight cannt handle the wind speeds but captures super good shots; around 40 mins of battery and 3 batteries should last good. I believe as a professional photographer I’ve all drones on the market today the company that manufactures the most superior is DJI one has to decide why are they purchasing the drone for what purpose is it for recreation family history monetary the most important feature of this drone most specifically for your truly is the DJI mini five pro it is exceptional and more specifically it has the megapixels for quality and most importantly, vertical pictures.. The cost is reasonable and the time payment is exceptional.
