I decided to get this induction unit to replace my old hot plate. This has been absolutely wonderful. Yes there is a learning curve to its proper use, but not a problem . What I love is that it only gets hot where a pan is sitting. I can use a large frying pan for stir fry or two pans for steaming vegetables. Clean up is a breeze with its particular surface compared to the hot plate I had before which looked horrible after a few months and was impossible to actually look clean. I purchased it majorly for the hot pot purpose, and it works great. Pros: It's large enough to hold my daily-use stainless steel pot which is good for 4-6 person. It's pretty silent and heat quickly. The top is easy to clean which is a plus. Cons: currently I couldn't find a con after several uses. Probably the price is not inexpensive, but i want to choose a reliable cooktop. Wish I would have bought years ago. Heats up QUICK. Yes it does make a humming noise but who cares. It's the counter safe extra burner I needed that out performs by gas stove.

I bought this induction burner as I was in the middle of a kitchen remodel and wouldn't have use of a stove. I didn't want to eat and preferred to cook meals for my family whenever able. The burner is thin and I like that it is easy to put away. The only issue I have is that it makes this loud buzzing sound which I am not sure if it is normal. I tried to reach out to customer service but was routed to Amazon instead and the only option was to return/exchange. The stove is very hot. I wasn’t expecting this much power from a small electric stove. I can cook anything with it at work now. Easy to use as it comes with easy manual. Touch pad works good. Just a light tap and it will do its work.
