This jump starter is great. I used it to fire up a 6.6L diesel and it took about 3 seconds. It's very easy to use, just hook it up and turn the key. Just make sure you remove it quickly. I had a similar product in the past that stopped functioning after I let a friend borrow it and it was left on the battery for a minute or two after the engine was started. The instructions state to remove this starter within 30 seconds. The case is nice. Everything fits nicely. I wish the cables were just a little bit longer and maybe just a little bit heavier. They get fairly warm after a quick use.

Recently acquired this GREEN KEEPER Portable Car Battery Jump Starter (Model: GK-J1204.) It's a pretty typical jump pack with few nice features that help set it apart from some others. Like many similar jump packs, the GK-J1204 includes a flashlight/strobe feature. And like those others, the Green Keeper skips providing a charger block. I'm getting used to devices like this skipping the charger (Even Apple does it with iPhones now) so I'm not dropping a star because of it. The GK-J1204 is pretty big compared to some others coming in at roughly 8" x 3" x 2". One thing that sets the GK-J1204 apart are the decently beefy silicone cables that are easy to bend and have attached clamps that are "normal" size instead of half or third size. Being large, the clamps open nice and wide to attach to pretty much any terminal with a very positive spring action. I didn't test on a completely dead battery, but the GK-J1204 started up the old Land Rover when the vehicle battery would only click the starter relay. The screen on the GK-J1204 is large and easy to read, though there are some LED lights on the display that the manual makes no mention of - RC/LC/HT (though I think the LC might mean Low Charge since It lit when the battery pack was below 20%. I like that the GK-J1204 includes a 12v output cable with a car-style lighter socket. Since I can use the socket to run a portable tire inflator, I won't have to get one that includes its own battery - a plus. Since the socket is rated at 6A, I gave it a test with our Dometic 12V fridge/freezer which needs 6A to start up the compressor. The fridge ran constantly for a little over half an hour while it chilled the food compartment down to temp and the GK-J1204 reported the battery was down to 85%. I don't intend to run the fridge off the Green Keeper, but I thought it was a good test. If you're thinking of using this to run your own fridge, I don't think I would. I noticed that once our fridge got to temp and started cycling, the GK-J1204 didn't sense enough power draw and turned itself off until manually turned on again. Still, it was an interesting experiment. If there was a way to force the 12V output of the GK-J1204 to remain active, then it would actually be good for short-term or emergency fridge use. I also tried running an M1 MacBook Air from the USB-C output. I didn't run the GK-J1204 down to zero, but I used the MacBook for several minutes without any issues. I like the GREEN KEEPER Portable Car Battery Jump Starter (Model: GK-J1204.) It'll be a good addition to my travel tool kit.
