This is a great portable basketball hoop with a wide range of adjustable height, from the regulation 10 feet all the way down to 3.3 feet. The lowest rim height on this goes more than a full foot lower than many similar portable hoops, which works out better for younger children. All the materials feel heavy-duty and durable, including the rim and its connection to the backboard. I did need another person to help with attaching the rim to the backboard and pole, as this step requires threading two long bolts through all 3 heavy parts at once. My tip for this step would be to lay everything on the ground with the rim facing sideways, and the pole slightly propped up for alignment. Once those two bolts were in and capped on the other side, the rest of the assembly was a breeze. There are only 2 things I wish were better. First, I wish the rim had a spring-loaded design to better handle more aggressive dunk attempts from bigger kids. To be fair though, the rim as it is, should be more than strong enough for anything outside of dunking and hanging, and decent spring-loaded rims aren't common at this price point. Another thing related to the rim is that the net is attached with individual plastic loops that can kind of slide around the rim when pulled. I would have preferred welded hooks on the rim itself for a more fixed design here. Aside from those 2 things, I'm very happy with this portable basketball hoop. I plan to have it in the backyard for my nephew, and I love that I'll be able to easily adjust the height as he grows. ... show more
