    • I'm Locked Out...
May I first say, their ability to properly Photoshop according to scale is terrible...these photos are a joke. Okay, now that I've finished my rant.... This is a nice lock for what you pay. Battery life seems to be really good. The app isn't terrible; works fairly well. It was easy enough to install, but I've also installed quite of few locks like this one. My biggest concern is the lack of key...what do I do when the batteries finally die and I can't get into my house? In terms of value, it is pretty comparable to like items. However, if you need the piece of mind knowing you can get into your house (even when batteries die), there are similarly-priced items out there with keys, keypad, NFC tags, and fingerprints for just a few more dollars.     • Pretty cool....
I have 3 of these types of locks. This one was the easiest to install because the ring on the keypad side that slides into the door is smaller on this one than the other 2 and the only one that needed no modifications to the door to install. Wish I had this one before modifying a steel door to fit the current lock. That was a bit of work. This one looks very nice, the keypad is very functional and easy to use whereas one I have is not so friendly. It works smooth and is kinda fun to play with. Personally I agree with another reviewer that if this was my only accessable lock, I'd like to have a key. Fortunately I have these on all my doors and extras I try and replace. To be a good tester the more products one can compare the better the knowledge passed on. The phone worked flawless to lock/unlock. I have not tried the 9v backup which I find kinda silly. Unless I keep one outside somewhere, I'd have to drive 2 cities away to purchase a 9v battery to open my door. Keys are easily hidden and resist nature better than a battery. Another thing to note with all of these locks are dimensions of both parts of the lock. The interior dimensions are the same on all three locks I've installed. The exterior is shorter on this one and a smidge narrower. Overall it is a very nice lock, looks very nice, (well on the outside anyway, the inside part pretty much all look the same on all 3 locks and nuthin fancy at all) and works great, but also think of your needs. If you have a remote winter cabin, show up after the batteries have been sitting in cold weather, or a rental in the same scenario where guests have only this to get in, well cold weather kills batteries and to have a lock that also uses a good ole mechanical hide a key may be a better option. My other locks use a cell phone cord for battery backup which virtually every one has. Heck then I could run to my neighbors and have a better chance at finding a cord vs a 9v battery. So I'm not knocking this product one bit. It is what it is, has it's upsides and in my opinion it's downsides too but it is as advertised, just want to inform others. Honestly this one works better all around than another one I have. I've also found these very handy when outside, trying to enter a different door than I came out, it being locked, and a few beeps later I'm in. No more having to walk back around the house!     • An affordable option with a working app!
Ordered this lock to finally setup keyless entry on our garage that we want our kids to have access to. It was very easy to install in the door and simple to configure with the app, unlike others we have tried. Start to finish it took us 30 minutes. Batteries last a long time too so we don't have to change them often. If you're looking for an inexpensive option with a well thought out and easy to use app then this is for you.     • Very nice deadbolt for a fraction of some other more well known brands
I installed this on a rear door coming into our garage and it was a very easy and painless process. The kit has everything you need to install this into your door of choice. It can also accomodate a wide variety of door thicknesses. I installed it in a standard 1 3/8" inch thick door and it went right in without any issues. The app seems to work well and connected to the lock right away. The touch pad is sensitive enough to register light touches but not too sensitive that it gets confused. The lighting of the numbers are nice and bright but not overly so. It also has a set of prongs that protrude out the bottom of the touch pad incase the main batteries are dead you can use a 9volt battery to power the lock temporarily so you can get in and then change out the dead batteries. The only drawback that this lock has that I can find is that it does NOT have a phyisical key. You solely rely on the app and codes. So should you set this up and forget your code and then lose access to the app, you may be in for a surprise as to how to gain access to your home etc. However, the chances of that happening are very very slim but I felt it was only fair to inform potential buyers of this. Otherwise, this is a great lock that has some really great features for a fraction of what some more well known brands would and do charge for something similar to this. I can highly reccommend this as I have installed it, used it for an extended period of time, and can feel safe saying that this is a great buy! ... show more
