I have bought a few of these in the past same exact ones. The last 2 isn’t opening from the outside after correct code is entered. The handle turns but doesn’t engage the lock mechanism door latch. I noticed the internal mechanism that deploys when the code is put in doesn’t extend enough to set the latch pin. The older version that works fine is different. Wondering if the new product has flaws. I’ve bought 2 new ones and installed them on the same door and the handle doesn’t engage to open. Inside the door works fine to open. So frustrating. I’m buying another brand seat this point. 2 days working on this is it for me ... show more

I’ve been searching all over amazon for the right lock for our medical office for months. Finally decided to go with this one after emailing back and forth with their customer service rep to go over what we wanted out of a lock and how the features of this one could fit our needs. First before jumping into how good the product is, I just want to give a shoutout to James from Colosus who was so attentive to what we wanted and would even ask us follow up questions that made us realize we needed to approach this purchase as more of buying a system and not just a lock. Here is what sold us on this product: 1. The ability to connect all NDL302 locks with key fob/code 2. Open mode which keeps our front door open during business hours for our patients 3. Remote control which allows our receptionist to unlock the door for patients to come to the back right from her seat. 4. Key fobs for our doctors and codes for our other employees 5. The best 1-on-1 customer service reps that attend to you and follow up with you to make sure that everything is running smooth. If you’re looking for a digital lock system for an office, I would highly recommend talking to James from Colosus or just email or call them to see if this lock is right for your needs. all my customers are satisfied and the manual is so easy to understand on programing, I do lot of rekeying locks at my work also outside work so this is so easy for me. the best thing with this is with remote and card no need wifi and comes wit regular keys

It's been less than 2 years since I installed this lock. Now the outside handle will only operate if you lift it up instead of being able to push it down. Maybe is needs greased or something...

    • Confusing Software Ruins Otherwise Promising Lock: A Frustrated User's Experience

I am deeply disappointed with this product and feel compelled to leave a 1-star review. My experience with this lock has been nothing short of aggravating. Let me elaborate. A few years ago, I purchased this same lock and found it to be durable and user-friendly despite being in a high-traffic area. However, upon buying a new one recently, I encountered a major issue with their updated software. The installation process went smoothly since I was replacing an existing lock. The lock and keypad looked great, and the remote felt solid. But then came the nightmare with their software. Setting up a new code proved to be an unnecessarily confusing ordeal. The requirement to use a special code AND a special PREFIX for each code entry is utterly bewildering. And to make matters worse, you have to input your admin code for EVERY SINGLE CODE you set up. This is beyond absurd. It's frustrating not knowing if you're entering the code in admin mode or not. The previous version was straightforward: input * then # for admin mode, enter the admin code, press 2 to add a new user, input the desired code, and then pound. Simple and efficient. But now, we're bombarded with a convoluted process involving prefixes, admin codes, and unnecessary steps for every user or device. Want to add a key card? Get ready to navigate through a maze of commands like *2#1#, and the list goes on. But why complicate things? Keep it simple, for goodness sake! In conclusion, the updated software has turned what was once a reliable product into a headache-inducing mess. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a simpler solution. ... show more

I’m really impressed with the whole presentation of this product when I unboxed it a few days ago. With locks that looked similar, with some discouraging reviews, I took a chance with this one and I’m glad I did. There’s a pretty well-written English manual on how to program which was also nice plus a link to an installation video. The only critique I have is the way they explain the levels of users which is confusing at first but makes sense when you put it in a situational perspective. I contacted their customer service team about this confusion when programming, but right away I got a response (like within 10 minutes, very good first impression) and was able to program all my codes and key fobs. They have exceptional customer service and I’m not sure you’ll get that with other sellers selling this product at a lower cost. Love it and will update my review in a few months if I find any issues. ... show more
