Review is for the Poolwhale Vacuum. Used for a Coleman Spa. If you have one of the Coleman or Intex Spa's like I do this is a great option for a vacuum. I would use this for anything up to a 12 or maybe even a 16 foot steel walled above ground pool. Anything bigger than that and I would say yes, you need to go with the bigger, heavier duty vac. But for the purposes mentioned, it works fantastic. The instructions say not to use over a 20 foot hose due to pressure. Pressure needed to increase suction. But if your house is like mine with good water pressure, my porch hose is 50 feet and no problem. Plenty of suction. Good instructions. Easy to assemble. (took 2 minutes). Good suction even with a 50 foot hose. Worked great. There are really no negatives. This entire kit costs less than just a pole I had to use when I had an in-ground pool. Disassembles to fit into a small box. Easy 5 stars on this purchase. One note. The adapter between the hose and input on the vacuum head doesn't always lock right in. Easy, just push the round adapter forward and it will stay. You can always buy a better adapter at someplace like TS for a few bucks. They are the same type adapters but the big box home improvement stores and TS are heavier and better adapter. It would definitely be worth it to go with one of the better cheap adapters. I have no complaints. To get the pro pool level costs six times as much and is not needed for my purposes.

It goes together easily, the design is simple. The hookup to the hose is ok but it can be finicky. As long as you have good pressure, it will do a decent job of creating suction. It's good for getting larger particles and debris like bugs and leaves, but finer stuff like algae and sand just blows through the collection bag into a fog. We have a 10 foot wide above ground pool, so we are more concerned with getting the algae and sand. With the filter we have, it does a good job of blowing all of that up into the water and then at least out filter will mostly catch everything, but if you have a bigger pool, this wouldn't be my first choice if you're trying to get the finer stuff off the bottom. If you only care about bugs and leaves, it actually does pretty good with those. Over all, it's OK.

I wanted some thing I could do in between our pool maintenance vendor who maintains our pool. Hurricane Milton came through and laughed a bunch of leaves, debris, bugs, etc. in the pool and it was a mess. We obviously knew nobody was going to come and clean it up so it was up to us to keep it tidy until things got back to normal. Plus, it’s helpful to maintain the pool in between regular maintenance. This is great for that.! It is not some thing where you can just bend over and easily glided without getting in the pool be prepared to have to get into your pool to do this. However, it works great and it is easy to do and put together. Great for the price and it was exactly what we were looking for. We purchased the net to go with this to help maintain the top of the pool as we had a smaller net and it just wasn’t cutting it. That was a great addition. Big thanks!!!

Frustrated with regular vacuum, backwashing pump, and long hose. This product is a treasure! 5 minute assembly. Lightweight, is it the handle. For me I have to be in the pool cuz the only length come from the hose connection. Like all vacuuming patients. Increasing water pressure slowly with the best so it wouldn't Force the frame connection to come apart. No biggie. The netting is pretty small screen catching a lot of tiny debris. The open mouth at the bottom of the vacuum is pretty wide prenup lard leave as well. Losing it several times I realize tilting it one way or the other as I'm vacuuming does help quicker pick up. Water pressure 3/4 is awesome and if vacuum fast. Quick release adapter to screw the hose in and then snap connect to the vacuum it's great. I've used four times. Really cuts down on my backwash I might pump. Question you are putting water in your pool as your vacuuming the water level doesn't crease. Caught me off guard. No biggie. The handle and tubing would be considered delicate. I'm a put it in PVC just for extra support. But pretty functional without PVC. I would do it just for prevent accidental bending or breaking. Enjoy. PS I live out in the southwest and I do have trees around the pool so it's double clean up after rain storm or wind storm

This pool vac definitely is worth the money. Easy to put together...I mean you can look at the box basically and construct it. I would suggest two things. If you have string or zip ties laying around you might wanna secure your water hose so it aligns with the pole...much easier. Finally if you have issues with the bad staying on just get a good hair tie and put it over the bag! You can also use panty hose if your bag(s) become useless. Have fun!
