Size: Updated Pool Jet Vacuum
I am very impressed with this little manual pool vacuum. When I received this item, I have to admit that I was very skeptical! I was looking for something that could vacuum the bottom of my inflatable pool as well as the doggie pool and that would not hurt my wallet! 😁 I followed all the instructions and decided to give it a try. Wow, this little fellow did a great job! I was amazed that it actually works. It was very easy to put together and it is very lightweight. One day my son came outside while I was using the vacuum. He commented on how he was surprised at the good job it was doing. It's a keeper for me. I have used this pool vacuum many times since this summer. This vacuum is holding up nicely. I do recommend this product for smaller above ground inflatable pools. ... show more

  • I tried this thing 5x now...
Size: Pool Jet Vacuum
Update 2: Buyer beware - I really tried to give this thing the benefit of the doubt. I was going to return this but I forgot and missed the return window date. This thing is pointless. All it picks up is the bigg stuff you can get with the pool net anyway... WASTE of $. Thanks to my forgetfulness, missing window to return, I'm now stuck with crappola I can't use (and no point in giving it to someone else). I've now tried this 5x and the fine dirt is STILL on the bottom of my pool. It just resettled and is so fine, it goes right through my sand filter and right back to the bottom of the pool again. Update 1: Final opinion? This thing is worth $15 at BEST. Can't for the life of me see how they think this thing is worth $30. I had to reduce this to 3 stars. Quite honestly, if you're trying to get the fine dust up, you're gonna have to work for it. Explaining the pictures: the one with the most dirt is the "before." The one with just the side of the pool is after 1st vacuum. The other pic is after the second vacuum. With that being said, this thing is only going to pick up things that your hand-held skimmer will pick up. The only plus side to using this is if you have to add water to your pool anyway, this makes the job quicker. However, the fine dust IS problematic. It just goes through the bag. Someone else suggested the nut bags work... I tried it. They are liars. Even with the nut bag inside the vacuum bag (double bagged, basically) it STILL just went through the grid of the bags like a cloud of dust, just clouding up your water. I have a 10lb sand pump on my 10 foot pool (I don't mess around lol) and it's only the sand pump that is getting rid of any dust. Basically, by stirring the dust up with the vacuum, the filter sucks it into the sand of the pump, and with each vacuuming the dust settles to the bottom of the pool less and less. However, it will probably take at LEAST 4x to get it to be clean. And I'm going to have to do a backwash on the pump after, because that fine dust is just going to work its way through the sand and back into the pool again. If I would have known this, I would have just bought a much better pump that connects to the pump. Pretty much a waste of money. If this is the process, where its relying on your pump to actually filter the water, might as well just climb in and shuffle around and stir it up while staying cool at the same time. 😂 The only positive thing is, it DID get half the dust the first time... but 1/2 isn't "clean." As you will see in my original post, the bottom of the pool was actually worse than the "before" picture before the 1st vacuum. Quite honestly, I'm not sure I'm seeing a difference after the 2nd vacuum. I dunno. If you can get the thicker "dirt" and debris, bugs, leaves with just a manual skimmer pole, this thing seems pointless. Original review: Ok, so first I should say that I forgot to take a before pic when I got the vacuum. I had to use a "before" picture that I had taken several weeks before cleaning the pool, so the pool was actually at LEAST 50% worse than the "before" picture. The "after" picture is what it looked like 24 hours after cleaning the pool. The reason I only took a pic of a portion of the pool in the after pic is because that was the only area that really had any noticeable dust settle. So, yeah, it really did far better than I expected on the fine dust. Yes, the bag on the vacuum does allow for the really fine stuff to get through. So, as I'm vacuuming the bigger pieces, it's also producing an underwater "dust cloud." Expect that. Also expect that to cause the pool water to get pretty cloudy by the time you're done vacuuming. However, now that allowed my pool filter to do its thing and cycle the water, cleaning it from all the really fine particles. Keep in mind, I have a 10lb sand pump on my pool. I cannot say how well this method will work if you're using a cheap filter pump. My guess is it will take me 2 vacuums to get ALL the debris up... but, for a cheap vacuum (I paid around $30-$35 I think), that's not a problem. I'm going to give it another 24 hours to make sure the water has cleared fully and all the "dust" is settled to vacuum up. But I think very little (if any) more dust is going to settle. As you can see in the pic the water is pretty clear already. What I don't like: a few times I had to keep re-screwing the handle back in. If it gets even slightly loose, the vacuum head wants to flip around, and working with the heavy hose (I need to get one of those new modern light-weight no-kink hoses) was already a nuisance. But, again, it wasn't too bad. The handle is super skinny (literally like a thumb!), and is not very long. But if you have a smaller above-ground pool, it does the job (mine is a round 10 foot Intex). I bought some nut bags (for making almond milk, etc) to use inside the bag it came with, which has a finer grate; but, did not use it, because I wanted to see how it worked as-is first. Seeing how well it did I don't think I'll need the nut bags. If you found this review helpful, please let me know. It makes me smile to know I was helpful. Thank you. Click ⬇️ ... show more

  • Great for our 10' x 6' inflatable pool
Size: Pool Jet Vacuum
This is fine for a small pool. Ours is an inflatable soaking pool 10' x 6' x 2' deep. It's motorless and it filters. It adds water to the pool while it filters. A unique filtering method requiring you connect to a garden hose using a supplied quick connect. It works slow but pickup is impressive. I read some reviews saying their hose keeps falling off. The quick connect needs to be attached to the hose first and then both slide onto the filter head. It's a tight fit and you will know it's locked in position when you hear a click. Removal is you pulling a ring (that revolves on the quick connect) away from the head while pulling it away from filter head. You need to move the filter slowly for best experience. It's not good for deeper swimming pools which require powered and more expensive filtration ... show more

  • It works
Size: Pool Jet Vacuum
We needed to clean fine silt from our pool so we modified the unit by using a 10 micron filter bag and an extension pole. We removed most of the silt on the first try.

  • Surprisingly works very well.
Size: Updated Pool Jet Vacuum
So I was very skeptical about this purchase, but I read reviews and went for it anyway. I will say that it's cheaply made, at least the handle, but I'll tell you what; this thing worked. I had to use a super long hose which it specifically says to use no more than a 50ft hose, but due to the distance of our above ground pool, I needed to go with a 100ft hose. Our pool sits on sand that I laid down and therefore we have sand in our pool from our feet. This thing picked it all up. Thankfully, it came with two filter pouches, and the fine one was able to keep all of the sand inside the pouch. The handle is weak at best, but I am fine with it for the way that it worked. Totally happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Awesome little vac!! Did it’s job!
Size: Pool Jet Vacuum
I ready many reviews on many different vacs for our hot tub! I didn’t want to spend a fortune and looking at the prices for some of these I was skeptical this would even work for the $25 price tag! Husband just used this and although we found the stick to be pretty flimsy, he ended up getting in the hot tub and using it without it. Very versatile! (Not very deep of a tub) He was like, wow! This is pretty darn good and got up every piece of grit and whatnot from the bottom where it wants to hide. -Now it did fill the tub over the fill line, but we just used a bucket to get it back down! Husband had no issues with the pin people were mentioning, he said it was fairly easy to pull out. We both totally recommend this!! Just get it!! ... show more

This is a nice product that I am very happy with. As the other reviews have said, the hose connector is weak and needs to be reconnected frequently. The pole is weak and I have fears of breakage. The coupling with the hose and device is weak and pops off. Having said all that, it works pretty well. The product stresses that it is for above ground pools. I have an inground pool and it works great. ... show more
