  • THIS THING WORKS!! Even in the AZ summer months, it cut my chlorine usage in half!
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I've been using this PoolRx device for almost a year and a half. It is ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!! Prior to this, I was using a floating Solar Shock unit which I purchased online from Costco. The Solar Shock worked well, but required weekly copper rod cleaning that was a PITA!!! It was messy, requiring you to scrape the copper rod with a wire brush, and soak the screen filter housing in CLR to keep it from getting completely calcified from hard water. During a calcium build-up cleaning by a professional company, I inquired about their weekly pool service (just to see what it would cost). When i got the quote from them, I noticed that they required that you have a PoolRx unit in order for them to honor the price they quoted. I had never heard of it, so I did a quick search and found that it's basically a MUCH BETTER version of the Solar Shock unit. You stick this item inside the pump basket. When your pool pump runs for normal cleaning, the chemicals inside this device disperse into your pool (it's invisible...no noticeable chemical smells or color). As these chemicals pass back through the pump basket, they interact with the copper rod located on the inside of the device and it actively keeps algae from growing in your pool. You still need to maintain some chlorine in your pool, but it has literally cut my chlorine usage IN HALF during the summer months in AZ. I went from 4+ chlorine tabs per week (in the 110+ degree summer months) down to 2. In the winter months, I use about 1 chlorine tablet every 2 weeks. I also have a unique "water wall" that acts like a high-end spa where water flows down the wall and creates a unique ambiance. The top of this water wall has a trough that stores a lot of water and during the summer months, that water can get NASTY in a hurry. I run the pump for this twice a day during the summer months to cycle the water, but with this PoolRx unit, a couple chlorine tabs and weekly shock treatments (necessary for my setup) my pool is crystal clear with absolutely no algae build-up (even when the water temps reach the 90s). Several summers back, even with the Solar Shock unit, I could not get the algae under control and eventually had to drain the pool, get it acid washed and start over. Take it from someone who has to maintain a pool in AZ, this thing WORKS! You need to add the refill chemicals every 4 to 6 months to keep everything working and you need to replace the whole PoolRx unit every year because the copper rod dissolves over time. For peace of mind knowing I won't have algae, the cost savings of 1/2 the chlorine usage, and it doesn't require maintenance...this thing is absolutely getting 5 stars from me. Hope this review helps. ... show more

  • Crystal clear water awaits you!
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I’ve been using Pool RX in my saltwater pool for a month, and the results have been fantastic! This little blue mineral pod has made a noticeable difference in water clarity and algae control. My pool stays cleaner longer, and I’ve been able to reduce chlorine usage without sacrificing water quality. Installation was super easy—just drop it in the pool pump basket, and it does its job. I’ve had no issues with scaling and cloudy water since using it. Highly recommend **Pool RX** to any saltwater pool owner looking for a simple, effective way to maintain crystal-clear water with less hassle! 5/5 stars – A game-changer for pool maintenance! ... show more

  • Pool maintenance game changer!
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I’ve been using the PoolRX+ Pool Unit for my 15,000-gallon pool, and the difference it’s made is incredible. Within just a few days of installing it, the water became noticeably clearer and more vibrant. Maintenance has been dramatically simplified — I’ve cut down on chlorine use significantly (by up to 50% or more), and the algae that used to pop up occasionally has completely vanished. The installation was a breeze — just drop it into the pump basket or skimmer and let it do its thing. It starts working almost immediately, releasing mineral technology that keeps the pool water sanitized and algae-free. Unlike other products I’ve tried, PoolRX+ doesn’t just mask issues — it helps prevent them altogether. ... show more

  • The pictures tell the story! Great product!
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
This is just amazing stuff! I am including a picture of the pool before we put the Pool Rx in, and the 24 hours later. We had to stop the filtering and lower the water level to do a stair repair, and of course it was hot and the algae bloomed like crazy . We added water after the repairs and started filtering again and vacuumed thoroughly, backwashing as needed. Then we put the canister of Pool Rx into the skimmer, and within 24 hours, the pool was blue again! Absolutely amazed it worked so well and so quickly. So convenient to use and our chemical levels are good ! I will update at the end of pool season, but for now, we are very happy with this product! ... show more

  • The Right Rx For Pool Alge
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
These things work wonders on alge. Every year my pool turned green and no amount of chemicals added by the pool service guy helped. A neighbor told me about Pool RX. The alge is gone and the water clear, even in the heat of Summer. I replace mine once a year up north (pool is closed for winter) and twice a year in south Florida. The only additional expense was my obligation to take my neighbor to dinner as a thank you. ... show more

  • I will be a repeat buyer for life! Miracle working little thing.
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I would love to say I'm a paid reviewer, because money! :) But I am here just to leave a real life user review. For the last 2 years, we've been dealing with horrible algae blooms here in Central Arkansas. Hot and humid breeding ground ideal for all types of algae, and it has been beyond control short of draining the pool and starting all over again. PoolRX was my last resort. And I am so glad I took the plunge, pun intended! The results began to show within 6 hours of installing PoolRX. It has made my pool crystal clear for over 2 weeks now. NO more algae blooms!! Regulated and reduced our chemical use by over half, so that alone makes it pay for itself! I will purchase this EVERY SINGLE YEAR to care for my investment. ... show more

  • I think this worked great...
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
My pool was cloudy for well over a week. Nothing was getting it clear and I was on top of everything. I set this up in the skimmer basket and within 2 days it was 90% more clear! BUT it appears that this little guy is too large for my skimmer because it doesn't seem to suck debris as well with this inside the basket (our pool has a very small 6" basket). So overall this seems to have worked very well but ultimately i have to figure out a different way to do it because is wasn't cleaning out the debris. For $50, I would still recommend this. ... show more
