  • WORKS AMAZINGLY GREAT
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I discover this product about 2 years ago because I was sick and tired of having to balance the pool with chlorine, shocks, algae liquids etc. All you have to do with this is put it in your skimmer and done! Depending of how bad or green your pool is, you might have to shock it once but once it’s clear it stays crystal clear for months! 10/10 across the board on this. You wanna stop being a pool slave? • Great product, saves time and money
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
My pool guy had recommended this stuff to me and offered me a discount on weekly service if I let him use it in my pool. He charged me $90 a year for the PoolRx (which he didn't name, he just called it a "mineral treatment" and I later found out what it was) and discounted my service $10 per month, so it was a net savings for me, it made his job easier, and now I see it probably saved him money on chlorine, too. I later took over the pool maintenance on my own to save money and looked for advice online. I found a very knowledgeable community on a certain website that was full of great advice and pool care tips, but some of the more vocal, condescending members of the forum were very against using any type of mineral additives like Pool Rx and would ridicule anyone that said they were going to. It seemed that more than anything they were stuck in their ways, but they had some credibility and made some plausible arguments against it, so I followed the advice and was using only liquid chlorine to sanitize and keep algae at bay. I was having to shock my pool a lot more than I had liked and the algae still appeared in some areas even though I was keeping my pool at 5 ppm chlorine most of the time. That's higher than I wanted to keep levels at but algae would get bad if I didn't (and yes, stabilizer and Ph were ON POINT). I was going through a lot of chlorine. After about a year of this, I said the heck with it and bought the Pool Rx. Huge difference, right away. I bought the 7.5-20K gallon size for my 22K gallon pool because that was what my pool guy had used. It has worked great and I have had no algae and no problems with chlorine levels kept at 1-1.5 ppm through the hottest 4 months of a Phoenix summer. Chlorine has even dropped to 0.5 ppm a couple of times when I had to go longer than normal between servicing it, but I still had no problems. I have not experienced any of the negatives that the "experts" had warned about. No increased scaling or staining, no green hair, no problems with the pump or equipment. Just clear water, a pool that is easier to maintain, and a pretty good savings on chlorine. I added this canister in May and I plan to add the booster in October, then I'm starting over with another canister next May. ... show more

  • Great Product for preventing Algae in your pool
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
This is the second Pool RX that I have bought. I don't fully understand how the chemical composition works, but we had NO ALGAE or signs of ALGAE in our pool last summer. We have a 10K gallon built-in pool and this product worked great!! It's simple to use, just remove the filter pump plastic cover and drop the Pool RX into a clean filter basket and run the filter normally. That's it. Prior to using this product we had periodic episodes of algae, but not last year. It is a little pricey, at $59- but the product claims that you can use less chlorine. And if you have a backyard pool, you know chlorine prices have gone through the roof the past 2 years. I totally like this product and I'm betting you will too. ... show more

  • was working nice but then clogged my filter
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
Simple to use and I was happy with the rx treatment was working well and the water fell nicely. After a few days, I observed the water pressure was not flowing. I opened the filter and was clogged with a blue substance. I washed the filter and contacted this company for help but still yet to reply. I believe this is the type of filter and they recommend not to wash it for 2 weeks but how? If the filter is clogged. I had high expectations for this product and then no even help to figure out a solution. Update: The company reach out and guided me for a solution and is working well very clear water. See last picture. ... show more

  • Best pool product out there
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
This is the BEST thing I have ever bought as a pool owner. I constantly struggled to get our pool clear. After hundreds of dollars on every chemical under the sun and our pool would still be slightly cloudy. I dropped this into the filter and within 24 hours we have crystal clear water that STAYS clear for months. I've never been happier with a pool product before. It's worth every penny. ... show more

  • it works
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
I have always had a few spots in the pool that would grow algae in summer no matter the chlorine level, the guy at the pool store said to try this and it works -- algae disappeared (with brushing) and has not come back. the only negative is that the copper level - its what kills the algae goes high after awhile and starts to turn filter cartridges green so keep an eye on the level and if it goes up pull the thing out of the skimmer for awhile, I put it in a jar with pool water till the level dropped on the pool store water test. Anyway, it works great so I bought another to use this year ... show more

  • Wow, I mean wow!
Size: 7.5k-20k Pattern Name: gallons
We were having so much trouble with algae in the pool this summer. I took our samples multiple times to the pool store and found out our pool cyanuric acid (CYA) levels were very high. The only way to fix high CYA is to drain and fill. So we drained the pool to the return, and back up to the skimmer, 5 times! What a pain, but finally after the last drain/fill cycle our CYA was under 100ppm. Still after doing this, the chlorine was not working effectively enough to clear the green algae we was on the bottom of the pool. Many vacuum and filter refresh cycles (four to be exact) we finally got all the green out. Then one week later the green came back! Very frustrating! I saw PoolRx+ on a few youtube videos and decided to take a chance. Put the device in the skimmer as instructed, a few days later, no more green in the pool! The pool stayed clear and the other chemicals were within spec. PoolRx+ is a must for any pool owner! ... show more
