This was my first attempt at putting closing chemicals in my pool. Did they or are they working? I have no idea and won't until Spring. The directions were a bit sketchy to follow and it was way messier than I had imagined. BTW - I imagined NO mess so any mess was going to be an issue.

This package includes three separate containers for Winterizing your pool. Each package has a purpose, each one is important to ensure easy Spring pool openings and protection for your pool. In all the actual closing took me maybe ten minutes, spread over a morning. To use, I broadcasted the Winterizer first with the pool running to mix the chemicals throughout the water. I believe this includes products that help keep the water clear of algae and possibly has clarifying agents. The next product is an oxidizer. This is listed as being a non-chlorine, super shock. I did this a couple of hours after the first product, again running the pump to "mix" the product in. As an oxidizer be careful chlorine or not, this is a harsh chemical and will burn skin and possibly bleach clothing. The last product is to help with minerals and metals in your pool. This protects the whole pool from rust and staining. It will also stop scaling around the edges of your pool. The application was the same as the first two, easy. Once all three were done, I dropped the water level to under the skimmer. I removed the flap and strainer in the skimmer and plugged the pump outlet. All that is left is to get the cover on and have a quicker opening in the Spring! Make sure you drain your filter and protect your pump by doing the same and possibly bringing in in to the garage!

This Ad does not state gallons of water treated . When I received box the front confirms 12000 gallons. Would have helpful to know ahead of purchase

This all in one pool winterizing kit is priced super well. It would cost much more to buy these things individually. Everything is all ready to be dumped in your pool to keep it clear and ready to open the next season. It’s fool proof which is great because o have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to swimming pools lol.
