    • My umbrella aint moving
This weight base is the business. We've had it in place for several months now and our umbrella hasn't moved a bit. We had some strong winds that blew some stuff away, but our umbrella went nowhere. It's a nice thick material and has some grips that you can use to move the pieces around when they are full. We chose to fill the base with sand, since we didn't want to worry about freezing water in the winter. Filling with sand could be a challenge since the opening is small, but we cut the base off of a water bottle and screwed the top of the bottle into the opening of the base and it was much easier, quicker and cleaner to pour the sand into the base. It's not the cheapest base out there, but it fits perfectly with the Le Conte umbrella we got and it's been nothing but reliable since we put it in place. A+ on this one. ... show more

    • Perfect works well with just water on my elavated deck which surprised me.
An easy to put together base and I figured I would try first with just water and no need to add the sand. I like that it is four pieces makes it easy to assemble or relocate. i would never purchase the one piece again.

This base was the perfect addition to my new cantilever umbrella. Unfortunately, one of the sections sprang a leak while filling it with water. There was a service card with customer service information in the box so I sent an email to the company explaining the situation. Within 24 hours I had a reply apologizing for the inconvenience, along with a tracking number for a replacement that had already been shipped.     • Easy to fill with water
I chose the fill with water method vs sand because it was easier. I had read reviews about how labor intensive it was to add sand let alone the sand/water mix. I had no trouble maintaining stability with the weight provided by just water. In addition, I just disassembled them for winter storage and the water was very easy to empty as each piece has a built in recessed handle. Note:, They are big and bulky and take up alot of space, but it's the same space the cross legs take up on the umbrella stand anyway but it looks bigger. Just test out your umbrella placement before filling them because they are heavy to relocate. Enjoy. ... show more

    • Great design, very stable
We purchased this base to go with our new Lyon umbrella. We filled it with sand and water and it seems very stable. I really like the design where the base covers the cross pieces of the stand, versus the type where the cross pieces fit in between the pieces of the base.

I purchased this with the coordinating umbrella from this company. It matches very well and fits just right. Be aware this does take up a good chunk of floor space so be sure you have the room. I filled mine with water (which took far less time than I expected) and seems to be pretty stable so far.

This product arrived me defective out of the box. It took over 24 hours to charge, and then only held the charge for about 10 minutes. Also, this machine is anemic.
