I used this on my waterway cartridge filter it works great . No way I can find for tech help because I had to rotate the discharge on pump I found something similar on YouTube . I wish they had web page to order parts and tech help. Motor should have came with a twist lock plug . Over all not bad for the price ... show more

The media could not be loaded. ….a daunting task- to replace the pool pump. But. It was not that difficult. Yea, had to cut plumbing. All electric was off. Then not bad. The pump is nice. Not too heavy. It replaced a Haywood 1.5. Almost as strong. Works fine. It’s quiet. I used plug in for now. But I’ll hard wire it since it’s been running a week. I figure I can buy a new one like this every couple years compared to the price of Haywood. With my plan to completely replace filter system, I did not want to get pump yet. Later I’ll get all the parts that work well together, but for now. This pumps working fine. I’ve had friends that have had these off names run for years. Let’s see. If you don’t want to spend money on expensive H or P or J pump. Give this one a try. Oh! I use a timer already, so variable speed not a thing I care about. And, in my area of Florida, I have choices. ... show more

First of all the plumbing is not standard size and probably will not match up with your old couplings if you are replacing a name brand. All the local pool supplies only carry 2” and this is 1.5. This was not a huge problem as I was able to redo the plumbing myself but this could be a pain for others. I bought this at the end of the season last year because my 12 year old pump finally died. I just opened my pool this past Sunday, so less than 3 days runtime and it started smoking today. Luckily I was skimming the pool when I heard it make a noise like it seized. Opened it up and the basket was fairly clear as I’ve cleared it checked it frequently since I just started getting the pool water back to normal. The water finally looked great today! Put the basket and lid back on, tried to turn pump back on after it cooled and it was done. This has good reviews so I don’t know what to say other than spend the extra money and buy the name brand. It’s quiet!! I was able to use the same male fittings as the Hayward pump it replaced. Flow is a little less than the Hayward but adequate. It pull 15 amps compared to the Hayward at 11. The power cord is very short and wouldn’t reach the GFCI outlet that sits just behind pump not more than 3 ft high. Did I say it was quiet!! Good value even if it only lasts a couple of years.
