This is a decent skimmer with a fine mesh netting. For the current price ($10), I think it is well worth the purchase. The skimmers at my local pool store have become way too expensive for what usually only lasts me one season. This skimmer works just as well as those I have had previously, although I would not consider it to be heavy duty. The net itself seems well constructed and durable, however the plastic frame is not as thick or sturdy as I would have expected for something advertised as 'heavy duty' and it flexes a bit in the water. Overall, it's a decent universal pool skimmer that I'm happy to give 5 stars for the price. I will update this review if I experience any durability issues over the course of the season.

My pool gets leaves and seed pods from nearby trees. This time of the year the pool is covered so I only need to use the screen to clean out anything that gets into the pool if the cover blows off. I need to get the right size pole to get the full use out of the net and will get that done ASAP. But it works great by hand because it is nice and wide and has a large capacity. The shape of the skimmer is perfect for the bottom and lifts dirt and debris right off the bottom and into the net

The net is fairly standard. It has a deep wide net to capture a lot of debris without having to empty it over and over. The netting isn't delicate but its also not heavy duty. The plastic frame is a softer plastic. I use these big nets to scoop leaf debris that accumulates on the floor of the pool during those seasons and tend to slide it across the plaster surface. The soft plastic doesn't smoothly slide across the surface without sticking/hanging up and the plastic frame also shows heavy wear from this. Overall this is comparable to pool store offerings and wouldn't say the durability is any more substantial.

So far this net is exactly what I was looking for. My old one of unknown age was falling apart, so I needed a replacement. This net is large enough to feel useful, but the drag in the water is still acceptable. The net weave is the same size as my last one, and had no problems catching tiny grass clippings that blew in after mowing my lawn. It’s not completely rigid, but not overly flexible either, it just has a little give to it. It fit my standard pole just fine, and I was able to scoop leaves off the bottom of my pool.

This skimmer net seemed great but it doesn't fit our pole! So bummed! I might still keep it to have on the deck and be able to use while I'm in the water when bees get stuck the pool. Seems great other than not being able to attach to our current pole!

So I've got a stock tank pool. Now although it it's only slightly larger than an average size hot tub it's also not covered like a hot tub. So it really gets nature's wrath. I had originally purchased a hot tub cleaning kit and the smaller pole and brush are very useful. But for the sticks, twigs, leaves, seedpods and whatever else I really needed something more heavy duty. Et voila! This bag net is made of thick plastic and nylon and it's going to make cleaning up the little pool so much easier. I am satisfied.

The net itself works well however the connector piece needed to attach it to the pole is flimsy and the tabs that insert into the pole to connect it are shorter than normal causing it to move a lot when trying to use it.
