Description

This product disperses rapidly to establish a chlorine protection quickly. It stabilizes pool water and extends the life of the disinfectant. Use a reliable test kit to determine the stabilizer concentration in the pool water. Follow the included chart to bring the pool water to the desired range of 40-100 ppm. If the pool is new, just refilled, or has no stabilizer; add 4 oz. of this product per 1000 gallons to give the desired range of 40-100 ppm. Add this product slowly into the skimmer, or if desired, premix in a pail of warm water and then add directly to the skimmer. Be sure the filter is clean. Recirculate the water continuously for 24 hours to dissolve completely. Always maintain the chlorine residual in your pool at 2.0-4.0 ppm and pH at 7.4-7.6.

I'm cracking up at the people saying things like, "it didn't raise my chlorine level at all" or "it takes forever to dissolve". This is chlorine stabilizer and conditioner designed to slow down chlorine burn off, not raise your chlorine level. And as far as taking forever to dissolve, you can use the sock method others are talking about or you can do what I do: I buy 4 lb. bags about 3 times a summer. I add about 1/2-3/4 of a lb. at a time directly into the skimmer basket. When I go back 30 minutes later, it's all dissolved and I repeat this procedure until the bag is empty. If you spend a Saturday afternoon at the pool, if you can't work this procedure into the day then you should just close your pool. ... show more
