The pizza cutter is very heavy and made of thick metal. There is a rubber handle that runs the length of the cutter, and it has an almost flat edge, so the cutter can be rested upright on the rubber side. It is somewhat sharpened, but not as sharp as a knife would be, so you will not get cut if you reach for it in a drawer. It seems to be sharp enough for cutting pizza. Sometimes I need to rock the cutter a few times to get to a tricky spot on pizza, but most of the time, it works great. Since the blade is so wide and long, it is possible to cut thick pies and deep dish pizzas with it with no problem. I store the cutter upright with the bamboo pizza plates and pizza peel, and it works out for me quite well, since the cutter is so big. This way it does not take additional space.

This is huge! It will cut the largest of pizzas. This cutter is extremely sharp. It’s very thick & durable, yet easy to use. Thick crust, thin crust, whatever you want to cut, I would highly recommend. However, this cutter should probably be hung up & stored on a nail possibly on the side of a cupboard. It will fit in a drawer but its really big, it takes up a lot of room & is very sharp. It’s easier if it’s stored out of the way. I am extremely happy with everything else. Great value for your money especially for a brand name product that works amazingly.

Very sturdily made pizza knife. High quality materials. The handle makes it easy to grip. I really like that the blade isn’t ‘knife sharp’. I guess a blade guard really isn’t needed but I would like to have one anyway.

Probably perfect for some, but not me

I like that it can't wear out and it's very well-made. However, I don't know if it's just the type of pizza cutter (I'm used to the wheel kind like most people use, but wanted something that didn wear out), but I honestly hate this pizza cutter. I have to use the edge of it since it's so big, and even then it doesn't cut very well (I have to go over it like 10 times before it cuts it, and it's very sharp, so it's probably made to be used with big pizzas, on flat surfaces). It's just not as versatile as the wheel pizza cutters. You really need a big flat area and a big pizza. If you always have both of those things, you'll probably love this product, but for just home everyday useage, I think I'll go back to a regular wheel cutter, as short lived as they are in my house (maybe I'll just get a good one). Hats off to them making it very study, though (it definitely is sturdy). It's probably perfect for some people. Just not me.
