So far so good. We have only had it hooked up for a few days but it took about two hours to heat our 700 gallon stock tank pool to 100 degrees. My hope is to heat the pool through the winter for an all season experience.

I used this for a smaller above-ground pool setup, and the heating performance is solid when the water flow is correct. The 11KW power feels strong for a compact cabinet-style heater, and the digital screen makes it easy to see the current temperature. I also like that it can switch between ℃ and ℉, which is convenient. The safety features are a big plus. The high temperature protection, water shortage shut-off, and automatic start/stop function make it feel more reassuring for regular use. This is not a simple plug-in heater, but that is clearly part of the product design, so I would not count that against it. It just needs to be planned with the right electrical setup. My main complaint is that the control panel and menu are pretty basic. It works, but the labels and status feedback could be more beginner-friendly. Once set up correctly, though, it holds temperature well and feels practical.

We have a smaller pool, and this was a big upgrade from our old system. Once it was connected, everything worked like it should, and it made a huge difference in how fast the water warmed up. It heats the pool quicker than what we were used to, and the temperature is easy to adjust when we want it warmer. The connections lined up good with our setup, and it was not hard to figure out once everything was wired and hooked in right. I like that the screen is simple to read, so I can see where the temperature is and change it without guessing. For our smaller pool, this has plenty of heating power and made the water much more comfortable. It feels like a real upgrade and has been working great for us.

Once the water temperature rises, it makes the experience much more comfortable—whether for adults looking to relax or children playing in the water. This constant-temperature heating feature is particularly essential when the weather isn't quite so warm. The touchscreen thermostat also boasts a modern aesthetic; its operation isn't overly complex, and daily tasks—such as adjusting the temperature or checking the system status—are quite intuitive, ensuring the device never feels like a hassle to manage. The 220V–240V configuration makes it well-suited for more formal, permanent installations; unlike low-power devices that merely provide a lukewarm boost, this unit delivers a genuinely palpable and sustained heating capability. It is quite suitable for use with above-ground pools, in-ground pools, hot tubs, or small spa areas; provided the initial setup and component matching are done correctly, the overall operation remains quite stable. I’ve rated it four stars primarily because this type of equipment places relatively high demands on its installation environment. It isn't a device you can simply buy, plug in haphazardly, and expect to yield ideal results; factors such as electrical circuitry, the water circulation system, and water volume directly impact the actual user experience. The 15KW 220V-240V Pool Heater for Above Ground Pools, Hot Tubs & Spas is an impressive piece of machinery!!! The heater is equipped with a digital-touch screen display for precise control of the heating time and temperature, and monitors the water flow/heating status. When the temperature falls below the preset temperature, the heater will automatically turn on again. This a far cry from the old-school pool heater we once had, haha. There is also built-in fuse security protection, including anti-dry burn, water-shortage auto shut-off, and temperature control start/stop. A very impressive pool heater indeed, it is a high-powered unit that requires hardwiring rather than plug-in installation. Since it's a high-power unit that needs hardwiring to 220V-240V electrical service rather than a simple plug-in setup, the installation is complex and best handled by a professional to ensure safety and proper operation. It weighs a ton... Well, actually it weights16.61 pounds and, all things considered, it is relatively lightweight. It is a manageable size and, considering how well it is made and all the quality features, it is worth the price. It requires permanent mounting and, as mentioned earlier, professional electrical installation. It also requires a connection to a water-circulation pump to operate properly. Luckily it is fully compatible with our Hayward DE filter and it will come in very handy when pool season rolls around. We live in a pretty wooded area and, although we cleared some of the trees, the pool is still nestled between trees on both sides. It only receives the benefit of full sunlight for part of the day so, even in the dog days of August, the water is absolutely freezing. The kids can't stay in for more than 20 minutes before their teeth start chattering and I have to yodel them out to warm up before they turn blue. On the rare occasion that I go in the pool, it takes me forever to fully immerse myself and it is always a spectacle because the water is so cold. Then there are those who dive right in... I worry that they will have a heart attack on the spot. No matter how you go in, there is always that initial shock. The water is seriously cold!!! It seems as though this unit might take an impractically long time to heat the volume of water that is in our pool, but I look forward to seeing if it will at least take the chill out of our above-ground pool. My husband is very impressed with the quality of this heater and thinks it should do the job. It will be interesting to see what type of difference it makes. Once we have the chance to install it, I will update this review. As I sit here anticipating up to two feet of snow, summer cannot come quickly enough.

It is currently winter, with below freezing temperatures, so we won't be having this installed until warmer weather. This review is based on our initial impressions. We have the 15 KW (68 A @ 220 V) unit, which is currently not listed as an option at the time of this review. The first thing to know is that these are power hungry heaters. You will need plenty of power in your circuit panel for them. Before ordering you may want to check with your electrician if your panel has space, and capacity, available for it. This is not something a general homeowner will typically be installing themselves, so be prepared to have an electrician handling the electrical wiring for you. On our heater there are 2 wires for each leg, and 1 ground wire. There are 2 heating elements inside, with one wire from each leg going to each element. The hot wires are marked as 6 mm2, while the single ground is 4 mm2. The heating elements are inside round tubes which extend outside on one end as the inlet and outlet ports. They are connected to each other by a piece of square tubing that was cut to fit the round shape on either end, and welded into place. This is on the inside and not meant to be seen generally, but the welds do look a bit rough, and like they may be done by hand. Overall the unit seems OK. Everything looks to be connected properly. of course, we won't know for sure until we get it connected.

I am very impressed with the quality of this heater. It is a solid, well-built unit, and the instructions provided are actually very clear and easy to follow. Once it’s up and running, it heats the water incredibly well and is very efficient. Important Setup Note: The most important thing to keep in mind is that this requires a 220V outlet. You need to make sure you already have one available or be prepared to have one wired in to hook this up. It’s not a standard 110V plug-and-play unit, so definitely plan for that before it arrives. A quick tip for large pools: If you’re using this for a much larger pool, I’d suggest having some kind of shut-off system or timer so it doesn’t pull a massive amount of power unnecessarily. Other than the specific wiring needs, the price is spot on for the quality and performance you're getting. I’m very happy with how well it works!
