It said in the advertisement that it picks up acorns and sticks and large leaves. I would not pick up sticks even though small or large leave's but it did pick up small one. But I'm extremely happy with it because it worked for what I needed it for. to pick up sand and little black things that fall out of the trees into the pool. I used this Centennial model to vacuum the sand and pollen from the bottom of my selfmade lap pool. The pool is 6' wide, 32 ' long and 54" deep. In-ground which I excavated with my JD950 tractor, framed with PT 2x6 and 1.5" thick ridged foam panels and lined with a heavy duty polyurethane tarp. Works very good and the Pool Blaster is the perfect tool for it. A tip for you might be to duck tape the joints of the four piece plastic pole/handle to stiffen it. It helps a lot. Also donot over charge the battery and it will last much longer. Clean the filter every five or ten minutes use and give the machine a longer life. If it had a weight on the front of the triangular vacuum it would work better and would have earned 5 stars from me. Overall, it is perfect for my needs. I can clean the pool every day and it is very convenient compared to taking out the hose and fighting with it. The pool definitely stays cleaner because I can give it a quick vacuum every day and not but it off because I don't want to fight with the hose of the in-pool vacuum. ... show more

This little machine works so much better than I thought it would. It is light enough for me to handle easily. I needed to research algae problems before I understood what was happening. I would recommend extra filters if you have a large pool and lots of algae. All the leaves and bugs on bottom of pool no problem. Yes I love it. ... show more

After reading many positive reviews I decided to try this pool blaster. I am not disappointed. My daughter's pool looked clear and sparkling but had backwashed sand in places. I decided to put my new blaster to the test. I can't believe how much microscopic crud this thing picks up. I noticed it was losing suction strength so thought I'd check the filter. Unbelievable!! I do wish the charge lasted longer (approximately 45 min) but that's the only negative I can find with it. Love my dust buster on a stick! ... show more

I just got this pool vac because the robot one I was using did not work at all. I haven’t cleaned the pool all summer and we have a big party today so I knew had to get out there and get it cleaned before it gets dirty again. This vacuum did the job as expected. I am not a professional and not paid for this review. Just a grandma who wants to have fun with her grandkids. I have an above ground pool 12x22 and it took me about 25 minutes to get it done from standing on the outside of the pool. If I was in the pool it probably would have gone quicker and maybe a little easier, but I didn’t want to stir up all the dirt. Only con is if the pool has a lot to pick up the filter will clog faster than one would like but functions great.

Not sure how long it will last lots of thin plastic parts that won’t take much to crack or break . Will find out if it makes it though the summer vacuuming the pool. It does work good for now
