Description

The "Original Tilt and Pivot Frame" makes it easy to maneuver. Features include a steel frame with powder coat finish, high impact polyethylene body, extra thick bed and off road bearings. Just a bit of a disclaimer here first,,I worked with Clam Outdoors for about 4-5 years as a Pro Staffer. That hasn't influenced my review here though sense I haven't been associated with them for quite some time now. This trailer was very very easy to assemble and arrived way ahead of schedule and I was putting it to work <3/4 of an hour later hauling rocks, gravel and firewood. I'd used a friends tandem axle Polar trailer before but the first time I've used the single axle one. I had no issues what so ever getting around my wood lot , in and around trees and over some very rough ground even with a big load on it. It was very stable and maneuverable no matter how tight or rough the area I was operating on. I didn't find the dump feature to be an issue when unloading and it only left a very small amount of gravel in the box when dumped which slid out easy with a flat shovel. The only very slight negative I could possibly say about it,, is that for my quad, which is a very large one,,it could have a slightly longer tongue on it. It's a bit tricky to back up and turns quickly with my particular machine but I'm sure with a bit more practice with it , I'll get better at it. It turns wicked quick backing up but it tracks fantastic through the tight spaces in the woods. So much so, you don't even have to look behind you to be sure you don't hit something when in tight spaces. I'd highly recommend this trailer to anyone that has a ATV and I've used this one every single day sense I got it and absolutely love it. I can't wait to haul my first deer out of the woods with it next Fall. Just an update 11/23/21. I highly recommend getting a trailer hitch for this trailer sense the second week I used it one of the hitch tabs broke right off due to a faulty weld on the tongue. No other issues though and this ATV trailer works very very well for me on my little 20 acre patch of woods doing almost anything I throw at it. ... show more

Bought this 5 years ago and I still love it. It works great and is super sturdy. I also bought the fence/gate that fits on top. I use it for hauling wood. I can fill this bad boy up over the top with huge pieces of oak and it handles all of it no problem. It is very, very light and easy to move around by hand. The large tires allow me to pull it deep into the woods and drive over smaller fallen trees and rocks, etc. The only negative thing I’d say is that it doesn’t really “dump.” I mean, it tilts back very easily but not everything comes dumping out of it. You need to assist with the dump to get everything out. Not a huge deal at all but don’t be surprised when you go to dump your first load of wood, and you have to pull have it out by hand. Bottom line is that if this ever got destroyed by a tornado or stolen, I’d buy this exact model again. Very pleased. ... show more

I am NOT handy with tools. This should have been a snap to assemble even for a guy Like me, BUT, only three of the four needed holes were drilled in the main body. This required me to find a drill and bit the correct size (these are pretty large holes), and to carefully position and drill the needed fourth hole. Once assembled, the build quality is exceptional! The large tires roll smoothly and easily. The tub holds plenty of yard waste, fertilizer bags, and mulch. Dumping is pretty easy, but you may need a pitch fork to remove the last remnants, as the tub does not fully dump without pushing the last out with a tool. Hookup is a snap, and the angled towing bolt makes this much faster. GREAT cart, improve quality control before shipment! ... show more

Got mine today, put it together in less than 1 hour, and then hauled 2 cords of woods with it. I took many trips of heavy green wood out into our woods to dry out. This thing is AWESOME (so far, of course). Very light weight, but very heavy duty. I have the hitch ball kit on it, and that is the way to go. Really psyched about how nice this trailer is. I will probably get the side rails at some point. Update: I have been using this thing almost weekly since I bought it over a year ago. This trailer is the BEST. Seldom am I this happy with any purchase, especially one as expensive at this. I have hauled over 12 tons of granite rock with this trailer while building my retaining wall. There have been countless loads of firewood. I did add the side rails, and they make a huge difference for the amount of wood you can haul (especially cut firewood). The durability of this product is what amazes me. We've launched huge rocks, huge wood chunks into in from a distance, and it never breaks. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Well, well worth the steep price tag. My only regret is that I wish I would have ordered the 1500 for even more room. I see no need for the paying $300 more for the tandem-axle version because this on pulls like a dream, never get tippy, even when topped off with a full load of solid granite! ... show more

We purchased the HD1200 model to pull with our atv and use around the homestead (also purchased the 2” ball coupler). We have used it for a while now to move rocks, gravel, logs, and more. The tires are great for off road terrain. Nice and big. Tub is quite large and the plastic is heavy and tough. Only reason I gave it four stars is because there was a crooked weld that forced us to use washers as shims for proper alignment of the main center bar during assembly. Too difficult to return because it shipped by freight so we just made it work on our own. Took a little extra time and was annoying but the trailer is great and we highly recommend it.
