Plug & play in my 2012 RAM 1500! The crazy harness and extra modules might seem like a lot at first but it's a piece of cake to install, just plug everything in and you're done. The user interface is FASTER than the factory RHB head unit! It powers up in seconds, and doesn't turn off when starting the vehicle! No more having to go back to bluetooth mode after starting my truck! The launcher/main UI looks..... fine. I wish there were better & more customizable themes. I won't be using local storage so the local music & video players are useless to me, but every theme puts them on the home screen. Slightly annoying but I can live with it. The wireless Android Auto doesn't work very well for me, but through USB it's flawless! I have it set up so that my phone just streams music over bluetooth, and then once I plug in the USB cable it jumps to android auto mode, including whatever music is currently playing like spotify. There is so much to talk about with this radio, but if you're on the fence about buying it because it's a cheap Chinese head unit, rest assured that it won't suck. I'd recommend getting the version with more RAM, it is running android after all.

I bought it despite the bad reviews. It was pretty easy to install and fit well in the dash. Once I got it powered up and working it was super laggy. I finally got my phone connected and the Bluetooth was super skippy. It would not play a single song without skipping. About every third word or so it would cut out for a few seconds. I got CarPlay setup and it worked a bit better. Not as skippy. CarPlay takes forever to connect. My wife connected her phone to it one day and then my phone would no longer connect to it. I had to forget the device and reconnect multiple times before CarPlay started working again. I have had it in my vehicle for about three months and I’ve really tried to make it work, but it is absolute trash. I even bought the one with more ram because people in the reviews said that that was an issue and it did not help. It also says “topal service” not installed every single time that I start the vehicle up and I have to press OK but the screen will not work when I press OK so it ends up sitting there for a long time. Sometimes it will press random buttons on its own and click on things and other times it will completely freeze while going down the road and I have to turn the vehicle off and turn it back on to unfreeze. I will be removing this from my vehicle and putting the old one back in because this one is trash. Not worth the money nor the headache it has cause. Maybe I got a defective one but I don’t think so given the other reviews

I installed this in my 2011 Ram 1500 after the entry level factory radio started losing am/fm radio. This thing is an insane buy at 160ish, it was true plug and play and after about 15 minutes of configuring, it connects right to my phone. It takes a little tinkering with the settings because the directions are atrocious. If you are looking for an affordable replacement, this is an excellent option. I looked at lots of other double din radios to replace the factory unit, most required an extra harness with the canbus, this until had all of that included and doesn’t look all that hard to add the rear view camera, which I did not install at this time because i did not want to get into running the camera wires, it did keep all of the factory door settings and the steering wheel controls work. Hopefully it holds up over time.

I had no issues installing this unit on my 2012 Wrangler. I had the low-end MP3 radio with a CD player and no bluetooth. This was plug and play. Directions are useless, as other reviewers have mentioned. I did not connect the camera, and I didn't need the RCA cable. My OEM radio had an additional 10-pin connector that does not fit in this radio, nor is there an included wiring harness for it. I just left it unplugged and there are no issues. The unit itself seems to work fine. AM/FM radio works fine, but the app isn't very good. This unit supports wireless CarPlay/Android Auto. The issue is that in order to support these functions, the unit uses a built-in app called "ZLINK". It just doesn't seem to work reliably with a wireless connection. It seems fine once it's actually connected, the problem is getting it to reliably connect without having to jack with it every time you get in the vehicle. I've heard that the wired CarPlay connectivity is much better, but I refuse to plug my phone in to use it. And I'm not keen on spending more money on a Carlinkit to fix this issue. Kind of defeats the purpose of buying a cheap head unit, doesn't it? I just installed the unit yesterday, I will tinker some more to see what I can do to improve the reliability of the wireless CarPlay connection. Update 2024-03-19 - The wireless CarPlay connectivity issues appear to be an issue with the phone (15PM) or CarPlay itself. The phone is not activating CarPlay unless I turn the phone screen on. Once I turn it on (still locked), Zlink comes up on the HU almost immediately. Occasionally, I have to go into the CarPlay settings on the phone and manually connect. After reading around Reddit, many people across many devices (OEM included) have issues with wireless CarPlay. It's just a fickle beast, I think. Promoting to 4 stars.

I have had this car stereo for almost a year now. The first few months were great, then some "quirks" appeared. The stereo connects to my phone really well. (I have a Galaxy S23+) No issues with gps, or phone calls. My issue is the volume. Most times it comes on at level 14 when I start the car....about scares the skin off of me! My husband has tried to figure out why it does this, and can't figure it out. So the first thing I do when I get in my car to start it is, I automatically reach for the volume button and try...yes try, to turn it down. Now, that leads to the next problem: The volume button....when the radio comes on, it comes on very loud (usually around 14), and when I'm trying to turn the volume down, I'm turning the knob, but the volume doesn't always go down....it goes up and down, up-and-down. (It's does the same thing when turning it up as well.) I do not know if anybody else has experienced this, but it is extremely annoying. I'm just about to the point to go find a regular stock radio to put back in my car. (You can see in the video I'm turning it up first, then turning it down. Watch the volume level indicator at the bottom of the screen. It acts goofy!)

Poor Performance and Compatibility I am very disappointed with this car stereo. I installed it in my 2008 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited X (no CAN bus), and it failed to work properly. Apple CarPlay lags terribly, making navigation and music frustrating and unsafe. Additionally, it does not work with my factory antenna settings, leaving me with poor or no radio reception despite professional installation. This product is not worth the money or hassle. Rating: 1/5

I have always been the person to purchase name brand equipment for my vehicles. This is the first time I have branched out and purchased non name brand items. When I received the radio I was skeptical. I started the process of installing the radio in my 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Ram HD Cummins Laramie and I was having issues with it powering on. I contacted the company via email and they helped me every step of the way and now the unit works flawlessly. The graphics are great the apple car play works great. It looks almost identical to the oem radio that came with the pickup. I highly recommend this radio.
