With its retro color and accordion folds, this lift looks like something from The Umbrella Academy, but for me, that's one more reason to like it. It is an amazing tool. I have ALS, and it is difficult for me to lift myself to stand from a seated position. With this lift, I have been able to get out of bed easier, transfer from my electric cart to the car, and just move out of chairs more easily than before. It flattens almost completely, so my husband can place it under my right hip and I'm able to shimmy on top of it and rise slowly and steadily to stand.     • Versatile and sturdy
This seat has really helped my father-in-law. He has an electric recliner which is great for him but he struggled getting up from any other chair. We use this lift at the dinning table and anytime he isn't in his recliner. Recently the electric was out for over an hour. Since the lift seat is powered with rechargeable batteries. We moved him to another chair with the lift so he could get up and down. We have used the lift on our porch furniture as well so he can enjoy the nicer weather. Very versatile. It works well for my purpose. I got it to alleviate stress on a bad knee until I get a knee replacement. It has helped a lot, saving me the crunch in my knee from sit-to-stand. It holds a charge well and is easy to use. It is portable, but rather heavy and works on all types of chairs. However, it is not the most comfortable, as the seat is a bit hard, even though it comes with a small cushion. This chair lift has been a God-send! I had to help my husband off the couch several times a day because his legs and arms muscles are so weak. Now, he pushes the button and the pneumatic cushion lifts him to a comfortable quasi standing position so he can get up himself. He weighs 170 lbs. and is 85. I am sooooo glad I made this purchase. Due to falling off a ladder and hurting my hip I've been dealing with mobility issues for the last few years, especially getting up from chairs, and this chair cushion has been a game-changer. Perfect! Mom has difficulty sitting and standing but has her favorite chairs. Fits and works perfectly. The cushion provided is thin, but any cushion with a non-skid side works. We moved it from chair to chair. Great that it does not have to be plugged in all the time to function.
