This was a wonderful purchase for my husband's small umbilical hernia. The removable (via Velcro) is fantastic. Due to poor muscle condition, he also developed Diastasis Recti, so the second pad that was included with my purchase was also attached (1 for umbilical hernia and 1 for the bulge whenever he used his abdomenal muscles. He wore this daily, every day to work for about 3 months. It's comfortable and supportive without constricting. It worked! He learned not to grunt with lifting or moving, but to breathe properly, and the belt offered him the support that his muscles needed to heal on their own. I highly recommend. I found the fit was appropriate for his overweight tummy. It has a long Velcro fastener that may be somewhat difficult to close along and maintain the tension on the belt that is needed to have the pads over the appropriate areas. I think that a couple elastic side straps to tighten the belt in the front (like some back supports have) would be helpful, but then, perhaps this would cost more. So I chose to just help him close it. Buy it! You'll like it!

I'm 6'1 and about 290. I got this after several smaller bands stopped working. I originally got the XXL but it was too large. The XXL fit, but just barely. If I were to do it again, I'd get the XL band for my size and weight.

I like this belt because it is wider than other hernia belts and covers my whole midsection. The only issue I would say has occurred is that it starts to roll at the top. I have had to iron it in order to flatten it again and within a few wears it starts to curl up a little bit. Other than that it seems to be fine.
