I read the reviews of a lot of these types of lamps. Although this set had the best, people were still commenting on the flimsy material and short life of these. I was pleasantly surprised when I got them. Is the metal thin? Yes. Are they sometimes difficult to rotate? Yes. But, in my case, neither issue has really mattered. They were incredibly easy to install and after I did that, my hubby put them on a smart switch so we didn’t have to worry about fumbling with the on/off in the dark. Also, I thought I would constantly be turning mine away because I read later into the night while he’s sleeping, but I have had mine shining directly down and he has not complained about the brightness in his face. They are bright enough to read, but not so bright as to blind. The cords tuck nicely behind my headboard and they are a nice addition to my modern style bedroom. We mounted these on each side and above of our king size water bed, freeing up table space on the side tables. Love their look except a minor problem - a regular bulb extends below the shade casting bright light on the other side of the bed. The visible bulb is glaring. I love love love these! The pink is exactly what I was looking for for my bedroom. Went with a plugged install because I rent and didn’t want the hassle of drilling holes into the wall. Very easy to install. Got some Edison bulbs to use with it and it really ties the room together. The wires being clear doesn’t distract/add clunkiness to the space as I expected.
