When I received the box my first thought was that I had read the description wrong and had ordered very small lights. Upon opening it up, I discovered that the lights were correct, just completely unassembled. It looked quite daunting and I was ready to send them back. I gave it a night to think and took on the project the next day. Even though the instructions suck, by looking at the photos and the pieces, you can figure it out. I didn’t hard wire mine, I used the included plug to put them on a timer. **The instructions were even more vague when it came to the wiring part and how to connect it all together. You will need 4 wire twisty caps, which aren’t included and will have to strip some plastic off the wires to twist them together. After assembling I just braced myself that I had done it all correctly and wouldn’t blow a fuse or worse blow the units up. I would’ve given this product more stars if it came with clearer instructions. I had to watch multiple tutorials to figure out how to assemble this. The lamps themselves are beautiful, especially for the price. I’m sure they’ll look great once I put them up, but the instructions are very confusing. The product came with raw wires, and the instructions did not explain how to assemble it. Also, one of the lamps was loose at the arm and I had to glue it to be able to use it. If this product came with better instructions, I would be more confident in rating it higher. But I had to search YouTube for 2 hours just to figure out how to put it together! ... show more

Our living room is twice as long as it is wide with no lighting in the ceiling. One end is our dining area (small home). We put one one each side of our picture window. I put wifi lights in mine so I change color/brightness/turn them on or off with my phone. They were easy to put together, inexpensive and tgey really change the look of the room. The instructions are vaque and only show for a wired to wall installation, you have to strip and connect wires and know what to do with neutral. I’m not an electrician and I don’t know and the instructions do not show these connections to use wall plug. They are also super tiny to read and I have good vision. I’ve done a lot of diy, and I don’t feel comfortable with this product. And return window is 30 days so by the time I was done painting and moving and tried to install it was too late. Also, wall screws are flat at end so you have to pre-drill your stud. I really just wanted a pendant lamp by bed not a huge hassle. Hand tightening causes the cheap metal to break as in the foreground lamp. I have bought others of better quality/but not this one. Unfortunately, I took too long to install and it was too late to return.
