  • Nice but your feet slide forward
3 1/2 stars. It’s a very nice machine. I bought it for my senior mother who has a little trouble walking sometimes. She has tightness in her legs and a doctor recommended she exercises her legs differently than just walking. We chose this one because it has a seat in case she cannot continue to stand/ride which we think is a plus…but it is really beneficial for her when she does stand. It really works her legs in the quads area where she gets extreme tightness. Working the quads this way helps with the tightnesss that is plaguing her walking. The doctor was right. My only issue. Mom hasn’t complained about it, though she can only do about 40 reps. The issue is…when you’re standing. Your foot slides forward. It’s required that you wear shoes. Your foot will slide forward and stop where the peddle is but your toes will go into the end of your shoes. It is a little problem. I use it once a day for 10-15 minutes and it’s a great leg workout standing, but again, those toes slide to the front of my shoe. Sitting does not have the sale impact. It’s similar to a stationary bike. ... show more

  • Hard to assemble but worth the effort
I found this machine difficult to assemble, only at one step - getting the pedals attached to the crank. This was extremely hard. Once it was put together, I was pleased with the product. It has held up well, and allows me to work out at home. It was worth the effort.

  • Rather difficult to put together
It’s ok. The handlebars piece was difficult to actually out together. One piece was crooked and now you can tell but I wasn’t about to take it all apart to return so I deal with it.

  • Good product but noisey
The noise is the only issue.

  • Poor Set-up Instructions for a Pretty Good Machine
This package arrived with a large hole ripped into the side of the box. When I checked it out, nothing was broken or damaged so I let that go. Setting it up was made more difficult by the inadequate directions. You have to ignore the very complicated picture of all the parts that is the first thing you see when you open the instructions. This is just a complete parts list and should be at the very end, not the beginning, The actual parts are poorly marked and I took a bit of time identifying the right part at nearly every step. Go carefully because re-doing is the pits. Maybe a more mechanically skilled person would have less trouble. Using the trainer is a good workout, but you have to wear good shoes and socks because the pedals are slanted forward and your toes bang against the end of the pedals. I am thinking of adding maybe a few strips of shoe goo or something else to improve the traction on the pedals. Also, the seat is unpadded hard plastic. If you plan to use the seat, you should invest in the seat cover recommended at the time of purchase. When you use the seat, the handles are a stretch. At 5'6", I can just make it work. For all of that, I like using the machine. I generally walk until I feel a good burn and then rest on the seat for two minutes. Generally, I can keep my heart rate in the target zone for 20 to 40 minutes without too much trouble or over exertion. I think this is a great machine when space is limited and your budget is relatively small. ... show more

  • SEVERE WARNING ON RETURNS
(Background information) This elliptical cross fit machine came to us on time and complete. There are warnings about its difficulty to put together but even for a mechanically challenged person like myself I was able to sort through the problems and had it together in about two hours. BUT that's when the problems began. My wife had just started to use the machine (less than 5 min.) when the pedals could not be pushed. I tried to get on with my greater weight and strength but I could not make them turn either. I checked the wheel and that could be turned by hand. I contacted the company via the Amazon portal and that too worked fine. The company contacted me and said I needed a new "drive shaft." (It took two tries because I did not understand that I had to respond and say I wanted the new drive shaft.) All of this was frustrating, but understandable. I can't say whether the problem was shoddy workmanship or just bad luck on my part getting a rare lemon. HERE'S THE REAL PROBLEM!!! At this point I was told that I needed to return the machine for a refund and I was given a UPS label to print out along with instructions and information. On printing this out I discovered that to return for a full refund I had to return it IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. I do not believe that this was made clear to me when I was opening the packaging and it would have approached impossible to get those tightly packed styrofoam pieces out of the box without ruining the box and possibly the styrofoam in the process. I did not have the packaging, and I had ruined it anyway by the time I knew this. In the fine print I read RETURNING IN OTHER THAN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING WILL RESULT IN A 50% RESTOCKING FEE. PLUS IF RETURNED IN A LARGER CONTAINER AN EXCESS POSTAGE FEE WILL BE ADDED. At this point I had to decide whether I wanted to struggle to return the machine and receive $40 or so for 2-3 (perhaps more) hours of work. I did not return it. This might be a good value. But be very careful when you unpack it because the penalty for not having the original packaging is severe. ... show more
