  • Printed Like a Dream… Arrived Like It Slept Funny
This filament is a new brand, but honestly? It showed up ready to work. Color is fantastic, nice matte finish, and prints came out clean and strong. Let’s be real—most filament quality depends on how you use it anyway. Only downside: it arrived slightly bent, so it didn’t roll perfectly on the spool and caused a little side-eye from my printer. Still printed just fine, though. No tantrums, no spaghetti monsters. Would buy again. Just hoping next spool arrives with better posture. ... show more

  • Good filament if used correctly. Very difficult if not.
I bought the bone color. The first time I used it I followed "printer specs", and the build turned out terrible. Second time I used it I followed filament specs, and it turned out fine. My "specs of choice" on this is 80 mm/s and 205c. Yes, this takes longer to print... but I would rather have a first-time successful print that takes a bit longer than one or two failed, stringy prints. The bone color is excellent and removing supports was a breeze. Note: If you use different specs than I have listed here this filament can turn VERY tough and difficult to de-tree. User's choice. ;D ... show more

  • extremely good value PETG!!
Color: Petg-white
Usually I tend to be a little leery of lowest priced products, whatever they might be, but recently I was feeling bold so I bought a couple rolls of the 3dhojor PETG, thinking what the heck, if it doesn't pan out at least I'm not in too deep. Imagine my surprise to find out that this filament prints cleaner, faster, smoother and more consistently than other brands at double the cost! I compared it directly the other day with Elegoo 'rapid print' PETG, printing the same file on the same machine in each filament, and had no trouble at all with the 3dhojor, I loaded it, entered the factory recommended settings, hit print and it produced a flawless model with no re-dos or fussing about with the settings. No stringing, good layer adhesion, no blobs, smooth surfaces, no warping/lifting, awesome first layers. I took the same approach with the Elegoo filament and had to stop/adjust settings/re-start the print 4 times before I achieved an acceptable first layer, and then again when some strange bubbling occured in the fourth layer. Then I had to try to adjust the settings some more to eliminate a rough final layer surface, which was only partly successful. That is the kind of thing that winds up wasting filament, time and money, and so I am now wary of Elegoo filament. But as far as the 3dhojor PETG is concerned, it is now my go-to choice for any PETG project, and I highly recommend it, especially for beginners or non-fiddly inclined makers, as it checks all the boxes. Side note; I have become so weary of constantly having to deal with wet filament! It leaves the factory at 15% and after sitting around in a warehouse, traveling across the ocean and then flying back to Hawaii, it's at 45%! I dry it, put it in a bag, it sits around for a couple weeks, then when I take it out, it's wet! So again I have to dry it before I can use it, which is a pain in the behind; I've tried the bags that you evacuate too, and after a few days they lose their vacuum, and the filament gets wet. I've tried dessicants inside the bags. They just get wet too.( I live in Hawaii, the humidity is brutal year-round ) So finally I said, this has to stop, and designed some simple containers ( PETG ) with a TPU seal and stretchy-clamp dogs to hold the lids down tight against the seal, plus a little plexi window glued in so I can see what's inside. They keep the moisture out! Finally!! About $10 to make one, and I consider it a good investment. ... show more

  • Nice Soft pink matte color with better impact resistance
Good quality stuff and prints perfect in my Bambu labs P1S. I have it setup in the AMS under Generic PLA Matte for the profile. One thing to consider with this matte pla is that it has a bit more flex than standard ridged pla. Also due to the matte finish, items printed with it will get dirty much faster from handling too much. Knowing that, this is still my daughter’s favorite for room accessories. ... show more

  • ETA: Now my favorite matte white filament.
Color: Matte-white
ETA: I wrote the below review, really disappointed with this filament. For unrelated reasons, I purchased a filament dryer, and put this filament in the dryer for a day or two. Properly dried, this filament has a fantastic matte finish. If you want to paint your finished prints, this filament is easy to post-process and has an almost ceramic finish. Since leaving my initial review (leaving it intact so you can see my experience), I've purchased 1-2 additional rolls of this filament. Again, it works best when properly dried, but if you have a dryer - this is one of the best filaments you'll find. Image is of the temperature tower I printed. I bought this filament after using a Matte White PLA from a few other brands, thinking that I'd at least give it a try regardless of the price point or other reviews from users. I ran a temperature tower and saw that the best temperatures for printing were 200 or 210 (noticeable stringing at 205) with a bed temp of 60. I'm using a magnetic PEI bed that came standard with my V2 Neo printer. The temp tower printed fine. Compared to my other PLA, the 3DHoJor PLA is INCREDIBLY brittle. A print I made fell on carpet and broke into pieces. I store all of my filament together, and have had no issues with other filament I own (so likely not a humidity issue - lockable plastic trunk with dehydrator packets and a digital hygrometer registering below the threshold). I have also had multiple issues with clogging and stringing. If you have the time and patience to troubleshoot, this filament is a good value. It might work for you. But if you're looking to queue a print and return to a finished, durable, well-made print... you might look elsewhere for your filament. I feel like I've wasted enough filament (I just completely disassembled my nozzle, hot end, and Bowden tube to clean out clogs after 20 minutes into a print that also stuck to my PEI bed - going to have to break out the acetone for this one, I think) to eliminate the value I thought I was getting. ... show more
