Bought two of these in black, one of the bars broke as I was assembling. I contacted the seller (Spreetail) and they quickly sent a replacement bar at no cost to me. Obviously not a high quality product, but looks good and does the job.

Some good and some bad. The good: It was easy to put together, but it did take two people to hold the wood while the other person lined up the dowels and screwed. The not so good: Some screws were difficult to screw in all the way so the wood touched. It makes a creaking sound when you sit on it. I didn't notice when I purchased it that the seat is only 12" diameter. This makes it less comfortable and the feeling of being less sturdy. It isn't quite as nice as the similar stool we already had (wood legs, dowels, and seat are slightly smaller). ... show more

Seat broke along the grain with little effort. Didn't even sit on it. To return I have to disassemble both stools, try to stuff it back in the cheap box it came in.

I was almost scared to purchase based on comments about how it took 2 people to put together. Obviously these people don't know anything b/c it was super simple to put together with 1 person and didn't take hardly any time. Of course I used my own rachet allen wrench tool rather than the one provided so it went really fast. Stools are very sturdy and exactly what I wanted. Excellent purchase. ... show more
