I went with PB because I have 2 other PB grills and love them. Well built, easy to use, and quality materials. This grill is no different. It also looks better than the competition... green? Red? No thanks. Upgraded the cooking grates to cast iron and it has been my go-to since I assembled it. It works like a champ. Smoking, grilling, and even pizza. My only complaint is it loses a lot of smoke thru the top dampener when fully closed because it's not sealed but in reality it's negligible. Just bought this Kamado a few days ago, hard to beat this size Kamado grill for $435.00. Like everyone else I looked at all the manufactures. BGE, Primo, Vision & others. All are great smokers, all have their pros and cons. I get the BGE revolution, but it's hard to spend an extra $1000.00 for minor differences. The assembly on this unit was alright, I had to retrofit a couple of screw holes on the stand, not a big deal. I spoke to customer support, they were about to send me two new legs, but I was comfortable enough to make the new drill holes. If you are not the handiest person out there, Amazon has free assembly on this product. Use it, no brainier. There are some great tips on the other reviews to bring your smoker up to BGE level. I added a few strips of felt on the bottom slide, it took 1 minute and a few extra dollars of felt. It did the trick, air tight. I am also going to add some extra felt to the top portion of the grill, I noticed some smoke coming out. I did a few dry runs in controlling the temp between 250-275, I was very surprised how effortless it was. I Smoked ribs for a few hours at 275 and temp did not fluctuate more than a few degrees. So if you are someone frugal like me and want to have your beer drinking toys to, this is a good option to consider. One last note, the packaging it came it was second to none. Sturdy hard corigated cardboard, well packed inside, very happy what I saw at first sight of inspection. I hope this gives you some guidance on purchasing your new grill, whatever you choose I am sure you will be happy with it. And a added bonus, this grill comes with a cover, not sure if that was in the description. ... show more

The deliver company was perfect called me, I was not home, I had them leave on porch. I watched through the cameras how gentle they we upon delivery. The unit is awesome - super nice quality along with easy assembly. This is a great value.

This might be premature- as I have not cooked on it yet, but I was very impressed with the sturdiness and overall quality. Did not know it would have such heavy, thick, double ceramic walls, and thought I would have to build a shelf/table for it. Not necessary, as the stand that comes with it is quality steel. Good seal to the lid. And came with great cover, pizza stone and flame block. Very happy so far..... 2/19/23. I have now used it for pizza, flammkuchen and bratwurst. It is great. Also, it came with all the necessary tools for assembly. I love it. ... show more

The first one was delivered with a broken firebox:-(. But, Amazon jumped right to it, and sent a replacement. Amazingly it was delivered not broken, although as rough as the delivery company was, I was shocked. Silent Laborers came and assembled it (they are the best!), and the grill is stunning. My husband loves it, and all the features. He is used to egg cooking, so he plans to fire it up this weekend. Update: My husband has used this grill countless times, as we grill/smoke often. He says it has even temperature control, holds a steady temp for a long, long time. He LOVES it! It smokes flawlessly. I could not be happier! ... show more

Stands up side by side with BGE...and a lot cheaper! So many great attributes about the smoker to mention. So far, I've grilled porter house steaks, and smoked two turkeys, two racks of spare ribs, and a 15 pound brisket...all came out great! I use hardwood lump charcoal with wood chips during my cook outs. This grill uses far less (amount) of charcoal to keep the temp at an even rate than a traditional metal smoker...primarily due to the ceramic construction and insulation properties. I used a New Braunfels Chargriller (with a side fire box) for 8 years prior to purchasing this product. Wish I would have made the switch long ago :) Remember "slow & low" for smoking your meats! This is my initial response to this grill. I had anticipated this grill on Thursday, 8/10 (coordinated with the shipper since they only come to my area 2 times a week), it was not delivered due to a truck malfunction (no call or anything to say it would be late as my wife took the day off of work to be here). There was part of the ceramic coming away from the lip. I was missing the screws that held in the chimney. I have put in a call to the company and have requested a call back. It has been over an hour. With that being said, let me help you put the grill toghether. The base is most of your work. Put the base on the corner of a table and do 3 legs hand tight. Lift up the base and let it sit on the table and put in the 4th leg. While all are hand tight, put on the casters and mechanically tighten these. Then you can start tightening the base screws. Do the outer ring (Top and Bottom) first, then the inner ring (Top and Bottom). This will ensure that the stand is pretty much level. You will need a couple of people to put the ceramic oven into the base. Make sure you keep the ash door centered between two legs. When adding the side trays, only hand tighten the screwes. Place the tray in place (moving the bracket left or right) to accomidate the tray. Then tighten the tray. Now Place the ceramic insert (with the hole towards the ash door.
