I had installed a pair of these in my car, attached to a Taramps 1200.1. I ran them at about 400wRMS each for a while and they got LOUD and CLEAN in a tuned ported box. I wanted to see if they could handle the full 500wRMS. Turns out they couldn't. They went from smelling like breaking in to blown voice coils quite quickly. They were great subs aside from not meeting ratings. I'd run them at 400wRMS each just to be safe, and they will still perform great! ... show more

Wanted to wait about a year to see if it held up and sure enough it's still pounding away. I got it hooked up to a 1500 watt class d mono block amp and have the bassboost up 3/4 the way and it's lasted over a year. I have people asking me what I have and they are shocked that it's a single 12. This hits so hard that I didn't need another sub you won't regret it if you break it in and tune it right! ... show more

I’ve had these for a good 6-7 months now and I push them to the max almost every day paired up with one of the newest pioneer amps and my subs almost push their max wattage and they bump the only thing I’d recommend is buying 2 and putting them in a single vented box and wiring them 4 to 1 ohm (if your amp is comparable) but overall great bass low and mid as well as very very reliable ... show more

I was trying to get a budget system done for under $500. This Thing helped a great deal to get me there. 3500 (1000) watt in the description is a typo. It’s 500 RMS like the picture says. I put it on a 500 watt RMS mono amp and into a 1.2 cu ft sealed enclosure and this thing does great. Hits deep bass without bottoming out or struggling. Smooth clean flat bass with no boost on.
