I purchased this head unit because it had Android Auto and Apple Carplay. So far I have been pleased with the radio. The sound is very clear, the touch screen is responsive, and the settings are easy to navigate. Pros: - easy to install - works great for Android Auto and Carplay - good sound quality Cons: - the USB is ONLY on the back - I installed a replacement cigarette lighter USB to solve this - USB can only connect to a single input - Even though the input from the cigarette lighter USB only connects to 1 data input, the power draw causes the radio firmware to crash - Poor NVM. - When you turn off the car and turn it back on, the radio stays on the same station, but the indicator for station number (1-6) always reverts back to 1. - More of an annoyance than anything - No volume knob. (Something I wish I had but purchased this without thinking about it). All in all, it is a good radio and I'm pleased with it. Just a few minor issues.

I can't believe I spent this much money on an auto stereo. But when I use the back-up camera, link my phone via Android Auto, use the navigation apps, I realize why I spent that money. I've had four Pioneer radios in my past vehicles and they never fail to deliver. Naturally I gravitated to Pioneer when I replaced the single DIN unit in my current truck. Although I looked at JVC and other brands when deciding what to install as a replacement, I recalled that I was replacing a JVC unit that came with the truck. I never liked the unit, it wasn't intuitive, and it was just falling apart. I have been satisfied with my purchase and can recommend this as a solid head unit for your sound system. A word to the wise: there are tons of options out there but most lack a CD/DVD player. I was on the fence over this feature since smartphones store insane amounts of music and then there is XM Radio and other streaming features. But the first time I bought a CD in a thrift store and plugged it in before driving away, I felt vindicated in choosing this model.

I finally decided to upgrade the factory Radio in my 2005 GMC yukon with this Pioneer AVH-2500NEX.. The radio far exceeded what I expected. It made me ENJOY riding to work.. It was not as hard as I thought to install. All I needed was to watch a couple of Youtube Videos and follow directions. The only real issue I had was that I was unable to get the USB to play anything.. So I went to the Pioneer web page to see if they had a update for the unit and I read where the USB stick had to be formatted to FAT32. Again I went back to Youtube and leaned how to format my 128gb flash drive to FAT32, Again I follow the directions. After Formating the flash drive I put 9 movies on the drive and they all played perfectly.. So if you are having issues where it says "unreadable file" or "device not supported", format the the Flash drive to "FAT32" and the Issue should be solved... This radio is packed with GREAT options and is well worth buying.

While I'm super happy with my much-needed upgrade to the current century, I'm disappointed by a couple of the features. PROS: 1. Compared to my 2002 tuner, this is a wonder! It plays CDs and DVDs perfectly (though I don't know how often I'll be using the DVD feature). 2. I added an extension to attach both my iPhone and USB for music, and love being able to use Pandora and my own selection of music when I'm off-roading. 3. The bluetooth works wonderfully - I have it above the steering column - and I've had no problems with people hearing me. 4. The sound and options have been great and work wonderfully. CONS: 1. The tuner's supposed to be a super tuner, but it works only slightly better than my original 2002 tuner. 2. When it's in ApplePlay and I have the radio on, if anything like a notification comes up on my iPhone, it doesn't go back to the tuner. I have to manually switch it back while driving, which isn't very safe, in my opinion. <ASIDE> I haven't been able to hook up the backup cam yet, as I'm doing all the installation myself and I think I have the wiring wrong, but everything else was relatively simple to install on my own, with the help of many YouTube videos!

Works great with either android or iphone, get the cable they recommend. Great built in power, plus plenty of rca outputs. Best eq with great adjustments to perfect your sound. If you have to share the car the radio doesn’t store your phone info. If you take screenshots on your phone it’ll take one of the radio too. DVD player is nice since you can’t play videos from your phone ( but I think you can from a usb , I haven’t tried). Navigation works great. Does more than I need, would definitely put this or one like it in another car

Easy enough to install myself to an existing Honda wiring harness from Schosh. Had a few issues with no sound at first but they somehow self resolved. The initial set up is a bit weird in choosing the right configuration, but after a bit of googling, I found the correct one. Easy enough to redo by resetting the stereo using the touch screen. I appreciate the crisp image on the back up camera despite my camera being low resolution. Sound is powerful enough without an amp powering 4 new infiniti coax speakers and a bass tube (amp powered). I'm sure with an amp, this thing would rattle some trunks. Overall, very happy with it. Chose this one after getting my wife a 4100NEX a few years ago. Her's has a removable face plate, where this one doesn't, but this one handles 2 connections to phones simultaneously which is nice when we switch off between her phone and mine.
