  • I will be buying another one it is that good
Style: WiFi - 18,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
Just finished off the garage and installed this mini split. It’s well made and works great. Very quiet. I had it professionally installed since I didn’t have the equipment to complete the line connections. Keep in mind that the line set appears to be metric and does not marry up to standard vacuum pump equipment. Just FYI. Everything else is great and the unit moves a lot of air. I just wish there was more ability to control temperature range settings. So far all I have figured out is how to set and hold a single temperature on auto or in the heat and cool setting. I was hoping I could set it to stay above one temp but below another. Does not seem to have that capability. Either way this unit is worth getting and the price makes it a no brainer. ... show more

  • Efficient, even in the humid Florida heat.
Style: WiFi - 18,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
Been 9 months since I have installed this in my garage and so far so good. I installed it in a 25x25 foot garage, made of cinder block. I insulated the ceiling with attic insulation bare and set it to dehumidify the garage at 72 degrees. I live in Northwest Florida where today it got up to 93 degrees at a humidity level of 77 percent. The garage was at 71 with a humidity level of 30 percent. My electricity bill went up about 20-30 a month but the value of that is a garage that keeps my stuff safe from humidity and the resulting mold and creates a workspace that is comfortable to work in when it feels like hell outside. And this is all with no insulation on the walls and the non-insulated 16 foot wide by 10 feet tall garage door and 12 foot ceilings. Self installation was a breeze, all you need is a cheap vacuum pump and some gauges to ensure you have a tight seal before you let the refrigerant out into the system or for a nominal cost you can self install and have a certified HVAC guy or gal come out and make sure everything is kosher before you start it up. ... show more

  • This unit destroyed my house. Literally cost me over $30,000 in damages.
Style: WiFi - 24,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
Do not buy this unless you want to have expensive repairs. I had this unit professionally installed, everything worked great at first… we had it running for about a month and a half with no issues, we left to go on vacation overseas for two months and left the air conditioner on the dehumidifier mode while we were gone set for about 78°F. When we arrive back home the floor upstairs below the unit was flooded with water and the ceiling below had collapsed from water on the sheet rock. It caused over $30,000 worth of damage, we didn’t know what happened at first… the contractor pointed out that it was coming out of the air conditioning. The condensation was not draining properly so we called the air-conditioning guy, he came and looked at it and pulled the condensation tube out of the enclosure outside and showed us that it was completely dry. He then blew on the tube and then you could hear the water and all the sudden , almost a gallon of water came out of the tube. He took the inside unit apart and did not find anything blocking the drain. So he put it all back together following the instructions in the manual. The condensation tube to come straight out of the wall and then goes down and drains right next to the outdoor unit. Later that evening, the indoor unit started throwing water out of the front of it again so we immediately called the air-conditioning guy again, he came over after hours as a favor and looked at it with a flashlight. You could clearly see water in the collection tray, nothing blocking the drain , but nothing outside. He touched his screwdriver over where the drain hole was, a bubble came up and all of the water drained out. Somehow there’s a bubble forming that won’t allow the water to drain out and it is causing very expensive damage to our home. I cannot recommend this unit. We have three other Fujitsu units that are over 20 years old. They have never given us any of these problems. We recently put an addition on the house and needed a little bit more air conditioning, we chose this one because of the good reviews, and being that the addition was so expensive because of the prices of materials during Covid, we needed to save a little bit of money . I am sorry that I cheapened out. I should’ve spent the money on a namebrand unit. Because this one cost me a lot more money than just buying the good one the first time. ... show more

  • So far so good.
Style: WiFi - 18,000 BTU 230V (R 32)
I installed this in a 42' destination travel trailer. The two ceiling AC units were fine, but they were very loud so I was looking for something more efficient, quieter, and something with a heat pump in hopes of reducing the use of the propane furnace during the winter. So being it is an RV, installation is pretty much the same. I was lucky enough to run the lineset down an interior wall so I didn't have to drill directly into the exterior wall. I used 25' of lineset so the original 16' wasn't used. The manufacturer was extremely quick to reply to my question regarding how much refrigerant to add to the added lineset length - which is .215oz per foot after doing the metric conversion. The condenser unit came a little dented on the face which looks like the compressor may have bumped the exterior during shipping. It would honestly be more trouble than it's worth trying resolve aesthetic damage through Amazon or the manufacturer. I would have pursued it if there was mechanical damage. You will need a 5/16" adapter to hook up traditional 1/4" gauges/hoses. And of course a good vacuum. I believe I was down to about 220 microns before I called it and that was after two flushes with nitrogen. Unit purrrrs. The condensor is extremely quiet. I do get a little hum or resonance from the inside and it could be because I have it mounted on the paper thin back wall of the RV, or maybe it's slightly out of balance from shipping and denting the side. The wire cage of the condensing unit shakes just a bit when it's running. I don't want to pursue this because I am not 100% sure the shipping damage causes the slight vibration/noise. The indoor evap unit runs so quiet... we love it. We can talk normally and watch TV at ease. The comfort is much, much better. Even with a slight hum from the condenser, it's so much better than the Coleman Mach rooftop AC units that are super loud and blows too hard. The cycling on and off would drive me crazy. This minisplit just purrs - and we love it! I can't comment how the heat works because it's still summer. But I am hoping it will do ok with our mild south-eastern winters. My only complaint or beef is the wiring diagram for the indoor evap unit. It is wrong on page 24 of the manual, as others have pointed out... but nobody stated how to correct it! Should I? Of course! Let me save you a little bit of pain... MIRROR THE WIRING ON THE INSIDE UNIT TO THE OUTDOOR CONDENSER. The diagram for the condenser is correct. Wire the indoor unit the same. So look at the wiring diagram for the outdoor condenser for both. L1 - S - L2 is correct for both. Page 24 says L1 - L2 - S and this is WRONG. I got this unit on Amazon Prime day with 20% off, making it a decent deal for an 18k unit. I am a licensed/EPA certification HVAC guy who's been out of the field for a few years but I still have the know how and tools. Install can be done by anyone with a basic understanding of electrical and refrigeration. DO YOUR VACUUM. I cant stress that enough! And ALWAYS use nitrogen when brazing - but you'll probably using flared connections. Good luck! ... show more
